  • Some provinces on the Global Map can only be taken by land attacks

I can't give actual numbers right now, but some provinces can't be auctioned.

Don't forget this bit:

Penalties for no-shows in scheduled battles

But it's a good start anyways!

So....why is the tier 6 map more than twice as large as the tier 10 one? That's kind of bizarre and kills the whole point of end-game content.

no, it forces you to get better at the game if you want to play at tier 10

You messed up this part:

Block Quote

Tier VI Front: 340 provinces with 70 landings
Tier VIII Front: 210 provinces with 45 landings
Tier X Front: 140 provinces with 30 landings

It should be:

Tier VI Front: Deleted
Tier VIII Front: 210 provinces with 45 landings 15 v 15 players
Tier X Front: 480 provinces with 100 landings 15 v 15 players

There really is no reason at all for tier 6 clan wars.  It does not teach players and callers how to play clan wars at higher levels.  Also at tier 6 most battles are either hard camp with heavies or fastbois. Neither of which train players to get better at clan wars in higher levels.

Tier 8 should be 15 v 15 just like tier 10 so that it can train players and callers to move up to tier 10.  There are many tier 8 tanks that correspond to tier 10 clan wars tanks.  That way callers and players can learn the basics of playing in clan wars battles and move up to a higher level.

because t10 is 15v15 and t6 is 7v7 so t6 map should be 2 times the size since you can have 2 teams instead of 1

Don't like 6, don't play 6. Problem solved. Personally, I like 6. I'm OK at 8, and could play 10 if I wanted, but I like 6.

You have left auctions on and then reinstated ransacks.  About 2 months ago, when WG wanted to do this then, the forums were lit on fire with arguments declaring why it was a horrible idea.  Here's that rundown again:

- Auctions enable people to hit most (now) places on the map, potentially including gold pots.

- If a clan can auction into each time zone to hit ransack targets and get several times the normal income of the province, they will do it.

- As a result, the best clans will cease to hold land at all, since being pirates will be more profitable than actually maintaining a map presence
- Small clans will have no chance of holding any land in the new system, since even marginally profitable provinces will be worth something when the ransack multiplier is applied

As a result, your CW maps will start to look like a campaign map, where there is actually no 'Clan Wars' going on but rather banditry and pillaging on a large scale.

Here is how you fix this in two ways:

A) Turn off auctions, leave ransacking on:  This causes CW to return to the way it was before, when massive server wars were possible because clans did not need to worry about being chip spammed on all their provinces at once.  Like in real life, clans will only have to focus on protecting their borders and landing zones rather than living in fear of random divisions of airdropping tanks.  Hopefully the imagery that summons up is as ludicrous as it actually is.

What WG does not seem to understand is that the more you make CW accessible to smaller clans, the more CWs will die as a whole.  As more and more regulations and potential avenues for disaster get heaped onto clans, the more they will restrict their activities and hold on desperately to whatever small chunk of the map they currently have.  Ergo, no action will occur on the map.

B) Leave auctions on, turn ransacking off:  This is the less optimal solution, but CW will survive it, provided auctions are as limited as you say they will be.  If auctions still exist but without the potential boons of ransacking, clans will at least continue to eke out an existence by maintaining territory on the map.  Wars are still less likely to occur because of the potential that several thousand tons of metal and incendiaries could fall out of the sky onto your current provinces at any given time, but having both auctions and ransacks on at the same time is the worst case scenario.

TL: DR :  If you want the map to look like the Caribbean during the 17th century, leave both auctions and ransacks on.  If you want the map to look like the nations and battle lines of an actual war, disable both auctions and ransacks, or at least, I pray, one of them.

Thank you and good luck fixing CW

Apparently you fail at reading comprehension.

Tier 6 clan wars teaches clan members and their callers next to nothing about clan wars.  Its not a stepping stone or training area to higher tiers.
