Rita's blog made it sound like they had some server side issues that needed to be worked through. Probably the closest to an official statement we will get.

While any improvement is welcome, thank you wot for the effort in improving these aspects of the game.  My f'n god, the sound in the garage has been updated but fail platoons are still allowed.  I will now hear more wind sound when my tank drives faster, but the f'n mm still doesn't factor in skill.   Arty, enough said...

Focus on the big stuff first, or at least mention that you are working on the big stuff and this small stuff is just meant to ease our pain while we wait for the big fixes....

If they made SKILL BASED MM, all the bots, low wn8 players will always be playing at the same low skill level unable to get better. If facing players as bad as you, no challenge at all, then you would brag about it. Go play AW PVE, sounds like a game you can manage since its bots. NO thinking required.

They have said many times no skill based mm, but in one of the latest Q&A Apparently they deny that there will never be Skill MM.. How true this is who knows....

Can we please fix the interaction of vehicles with rocks? It's entirely broken; tanks dance around for no reason and can propel themselves up any kind of rock face for no apparent reason... I've been saying this for every iteration of the physics test and public test...

Here's what skill based MM does.  It puts all the same stat players together, then starts to separate them.  So all the low PR players will start to gain PR and eventually move up to the next skill bracket while on the opposite end the worst best PR players will start losing rating and drop.  It will eventually return to the current MM we see now where you'll have good and bad players in the same battle even if their PR is in the same skill bracket.

​Bullshat! If they Matched by experience levels the top gunners would not have anywhere near the wn8 numbers they have because that is where the bottom feeders go to rack their wins up against inexperienced players that don't stand a chance up against them. Teaching them skills? Bullshat again, You don't teach a dead man anything.

How about just total PR on one side roughly equals total PR on the other?  Skill based MM, that still results in a variety of skill levels on each team, but doesn't result in horribly stacked games.

I think the player base would prefer a fixed MM than more bells and whistles.  Each passing week the matches seem to get more and more one sided.  Very few games are close/balanced.  Drawing names from a hat would yield better results.  Undo the 9.6 accuracy nerf or split the difference.  Game was much more enjoyable before that.  Way too many curved or dropped rounds, low rolls, etc..  Hellcat fix?  Church CG with armor maybe?  HD models look great btw.
