Don't buy a premium tank until you earn it's tier and know it's relative playstyle, otherwise you're only a hindrance to your team and you wont play well

I really like the SU-122-44 but I also do like the CDC. If your aim is to make money, can't go wrong with either. But it comes down to your preference really. The 122-44 is for me a bit more consistent as a money maker even though it's a tier lower since I'm terrible at the CDC.

Are you training any crews?

What tanks do you enjoy playing?

What are your best tanks (stats)?

If you can't answer those questions, and haven't played a tank at that tier, then don't buy it. Take your time and learn how the game works at low tiers, and slowly work your way up.

This. So few games. You need to hang around tier 5 for a good while before advancing into a tier 8. I suspect you won't really enjoy it. But you have tried a few of the rentals so at least you know a little.

Since it looks like you're playing around tier 5, of those on the list the only ones I'd probably recommend would be the 100Y or the Skoda as being the closest to where you're playing. However, you might want to consider some of the tier 5 premiums, such as the Churchill III or T14. For tier 3, the T-127 is a decent little tank.

Yah, just no need to hurry. Hard to make credits at tier 8 if you are not doing much damage. Work your way to tier 5. Use that Church III to earn credits. It's quite good at it. Go up a few lines, few types, figure out where you want to train crews. Get some crew skills aboard before you move too far. You'll want them at higher tiers.

Super Pershing is the best out of those options.

Panther 8.8 runs a close second.

AMX CDC runs third.

These three will also make the most money too. You can't go wrong with any of these but the Super P has awesome armor, great for beginners.

P.S. Japanese Tiger is crap

Super Pershing is the only logical choice I see on the list.

T26E4 SuperPershing can be great at times and stressful at other times. It has a lot of weak spots. Tanks with great accuracy will easily hit your cupola and the places of your turret that aren't covered with spaced armor, even if you dance with your tank. Also, the upper hull armor isn't going to hold many shots if the enemy has a big gun, but at least you'll eat HE, HESH and even HEAT rounds with it. It can be a monster on hills – like many other American tanks – since your upper hull armor will become stronger and you'll hide some of the weak spots of your turret.

But as others suggested: keep progressing through the tech tree until you get used to higher tier vehicles. It'll be better for you and your teams.

Don't get above a Tier V until you have at least 3000 games.  Churchill III, T14 and T25 are fun tanks that are competitive, will teach you how to actually play that style of tank and make you plenty of credits.   Tier VIII premiums will make more money ONLY WHEN YOU ARE REASONABLY SKILLED.  For the love of all that is holy, don't get a Panther 88 until you are secure in your ability to lose a lot and console yourself with "but I made a lot of credits."

Don't listen to these people. If a newbie in a high tier premium is ruining  your experience you're not as good as you think you are.

Wait for a sale op. You can buy several lower tier premiums at 50% off, or a tier 8 for 15% off.

If you can't wait, I like the super perishing or at15 for armor. Cdc for speed.

341 battles and looking to buy a tier 8 premium tank?  Bad idea...

Play the game more, get to know the mechanics and how it all works.

Play and unlock a regular tier 8 first, by then you 'll have a good idea what your preferred play style is and that will greatly influence your purchase.

With all the rental programs going on just wait a while. The CDC will be next weeks stepping stone tank for the WZ-111, followed by the Scorpion and finally the FCM 50T.

Of the T8 prems I own, I enjoy playing them all for the most part but have made some mistakes as well. Some of the following tanks you have in your poll I owned on the Xbox before migrating here but they should play similarly enough for the min-review to still work.

I purchased the AT-15A at one point. I highly suggest never ever looking at this thing again. The mobility is garbage and with the new Jap heavies carrying giant derp cannons you have many more threats to look out for than I did on the Xbox.

Now, the CDC Ive only played on the test server but, its a good tank, even a great tank, but its not for the faint of heart. Its armor is terrible, derp guns will absolutely shat all over it, never trust its armor to bounce because I dont think it ever will. If you're good at shooting and scooting, its a great tank, but if you arent, it will be a waste of money...or a great tank to train yourself on how to do it because frankly you'll have to. :p

On the other side of the scale we have the Super Pershing. Its got insane frontal armor(Baring a few weak spots.) but is slow as all hell. Ive seen them take over ten K damage and still end matches alive, but they are done for if someone gets to your sides. Its sluggish traverse rates mean its a goner to anything but the most braindead player.(I killed a VERY purple player in one just earlier today running a Cromwell with the stock 6pdr gun. I circled him for literally minutes, cutting off 90-120 HP every two seconds.)

Now for my two absolute favorite premium T8's. The T-54 Mod 1 and the new Mutz. Now that the Mutz is off the list for a while you'll have to wait it out, but its mobility is superb and its armor, on paper isnt great, but the rounding of it makes it troll as all hell. The DPM is a bit low but, given I already owned the Mod 1 I was still perfectly at home given their very similar DPM stats. Where the Mutz wins out over the Mod 1 is gun depression, speed and gun soft stats.

The T-54 Mod 1 is my baby however, and up until the recent release of the Czech T-50 and T-50/51 I have never felt underpowered or useless in T10 matches. Its not fast, but its got an amazing gun and excellent armor all around. Ive blocked over 5K in it on occasion, its tracks love to eat shots and a good repair crew means they are up and letting you wriggle again before many high tier tanks are reloaded.

The SU-122-44 is a tank that is so much fun Ive bought it twice, once on the xbox and again on the PC. When it top tiers its absolutely the most troll armored tank in the game. The DPM is down right insane and it can travel at a rather good rate with excellent camo values. Its basically a blinder, higher alpha E-25 with worse gun handling.

For you, currently, I suggest the Churchill 3. Its a forgiving tank with good armor and still retains a decent gun and preferential MM. You've got a lot to learn before you should be stepping into the high tier games. IT will only lead to you becoming upset and possibly quitting.
