I would like to know how the WoT Community feels about the player base and what ideas can be presented to possibly fix this issue.

1) There's no such thing as "The WoT Community", it's an illusory idea that has never existed, there are many different communities who pay WoT, each for different reasons.

2) What you're really doing is looking for an excuse to complain about other players and have people validate you by agreeing with your comments. I'm sure some people will agree with you, which will no doubt give you a warm fuzzy, and other people will disagree with you giving you an opportunity to feel self righteous. Enjoy both of those feelings are you see fit.

3) Considering that 1/3 of your battles were Company battles it's not a surprise that you don't like pubs. Being a soldier in a company battle is a very different from having to carry in pub battles. Since you prefer team play, you should stick to team battles (join a clan, do skirmishes).

The only issue with this game is: everything.

The player base has largely remained the same over the years. I started 5 years ago. What I CAN tell you friend, is that the bad players have been here forever. Maybe not the same ones, but they serve the same purpose. None.

What HAS changed over the years is the skilled players are gone now because this game is becoming more and more crapeach update they introduce.

Nothing can be done about it. They've lost most of the truly great players in this game. Won't convince them to come back. Live with it, or go to another game.

I play on an 8 year old PC, running Vista with 3GB's of RAM, using a $#*& processor, and suffering from constant in-game micro-freezes.  I can't imagine playing this game on a good computer, it would definitely make it easy mode!

The player-base is what it is, some people are good at games and some people bad.  Just the way it is, same goes for real life.

What people need to do is focus on themselves, instead of worrying about other people.  Relax, you'll live longer!

I'll keep repeating this... Please change the servers to NA & SA instead of east and west. There are some very good South American players out there, but the vast majority show horrid stats. Attempting to play the game on NA based servers from the other side of the globe just won't work.

I said this yesterday in another thread and was called Donald Trump

To be honest ping over South America isn't so bad compared to what would be RU or EU, I play on 140-180 ms which is bearable, I would love a SA server but sadly the American playerbase isn't as big as the European or Russian one.

Regarding the rentals, it is clear that it's a good way for WG to get money because of the crews, however I'm pretty sure that the average tier 3 potato doesn't even know that he can buy a 100% crew for gold. They should do rentals for tier 6 and below tanks, but not tier 8 where game knowledge is needed to play decently. I wouldn't be against tier 8 rentals if this game was very simplistic and didn't require a bit of knowledge on higher tiers, which it isn't.

I'd rather have a team of players who can at least spell "Brasilians" correctly.

Brasil is a wonderful place to live and Brasilians are generally kind, generous and fun-loving people.

^this.

I have no problem with any player not breaking ToS. All multiplayer games I have played had players of various skill level.

I have been playing WoT on and off for 3 years. I just wanted to start here with a topic of discussion based on terrible players. As you will see after I post this, my forum signature will probably have a lot of you saying, " he is the problem with this game." I am not the problem. It is the players with terrible internet connections and terrible PC and the mindset of "it's just a game." I play to win. I refuse to sit in front of my PC for hours of game play for losses because of the thousands of people who play this game on crap PC and internet connection and don't have the ability to tie there own shoes. I would like to know how the WoT Community feels about the player base and what ideas can be presented to possibly fix this issue.

Enjoy Second Life: Grinding for Numbers that doesn't pay the mortgage or give any meaningful rewards in return but satisfaction....which is itself a form of "just for fun".  I cannot fathom why anyone would play a game for hours on end, just to have a pixel number that doesn't mean sh*t in the real world....compare you numbers to Albert Einstein, athletes that push their bodies to the limits, people that change third world countries...if you can see where I am going, it is basically find fun and get over it....you treat WoT like working 2 jobs and barely being able to afford the bills while raising stress levels and blood pressure.  It is a game, enjoy it or uninstall cause you are going to kill yourself while sitting at your desk doing nothing with your life.  As for the rest of the world, don't forget that your high winrate = low winrate outside your house cause your pixel score means nothing to the rest of the 7 billion people on the planet minus the gaming community  (aka you are a loser, unless other people acknowledge your abilities and well...sitting at the keyboard isn't exactly hard as once your dead that game score means nothing while other people will have recorded acknowledgements in the history books).

When you place people that are competitive in the same match with people that just want to drive a tank and 'pew pew' stuff, one of the groups is bound to become frustrated with the other.

People can't get treatment for PTSD and the world has madmen with Nukes making threats as well as a terrorist / Jihadi Picnic featuring beheadings and other medieval behavior , yet you are concerned " people " playing a " game " do not all share your focus on stats and may just enjoy a game with Tanks that allows them FUN without " PRESSURE " they can get just by waking up and going to work , if they are lucky to have a job.

I enjoy the stat challenge and competition i general but allow for those who approach this game as do any other game .  I am not into social engineering world of tanks , and accept it for what it is and enjoy what it offers .

Maybe if enough of the "I'm a good player, the rest of you suck" players ask WG to start a new game section they might listen.  Say a Monthly subscription?  $50.00 U.S. to play?  That way only dedicated, I'm better than the rest can battle it out together.

WG just might go for it.

Russ

50$? pfft, more than nine tenths of players would not play so, in the end mm would be slow and the last tenth would leave, R.I.P WoT

There is only two solutions but, WGN will never do them!

1. Have the match maker make 30% players against other 30% players same for 40%, 50%, 60%, etc. Even if it is 2 vs 2, 5 vs. 5 or 15 vs 15 games.

2. Stop rewarding do nothing players,  Bots/Do nothing players get zero rewards (no credit/ no Exp) win or lose!

I view XVM as another metric like MMR is for league of legend.

I like having a metric to track my personal improvement in the game and I like seeing how my teammates are trending to make decisions on where to go at the beginning of the match.

I can deal with the bad players (for the most part) Yes I have had runs where I take 7-15 losses in a row no matter what tank you play... That is frustrating!

What kills me is that your personal win/loss % is directly linked to these players. You do your part and then some but because 12 other pin heads on your team who you wonder if they are even capable of using Velcro shoes fold faster then a lawn chair. Some how that loss is your fault... Really???

And why is it soooooo hard for these randoms to read the mini map? It's not rocket science, your team are green marks, their team are red marks. If you see no red marks near your 12 green marks, maybe move to the other side of map where the 12 red marks are. So frustrating.

Bad PC isnt a legit reason for sucking. Plenty of purples have utter garbage hardware.

The one thing I do not understand is why people insist on playing with 400+ ping where they cant even keep their gun pointed at a guy facehugging them. That's just utter stupidity. If you are lagging that bad dont [edited]play an online game.

1+  ur right i'm playing with 20 fps on low grp and  i'm still doing better than alot of shitter have 99999 fps lel

This^.  I'd rather have a triple root canal done than have them on my team.  They give cancer cancer.

SA needs their own server.  That way they can all play with the same crap ping.
