Before anyone blows their top and yell out loud "this is World of TANKS" then you should know that I know that already. I understand that this game is about tanks blowing up other tanks. However the competition does not limit itself to only using tanks. They also use armored cars, halftracks and AA tanks in their games. And to be honest about it, those AFVs are really awesome to use.

So I think that eventually World of Tanks will probably introduce armored cars, halftracks and AA tanks into the game if nothing else but to stay relevant. And that would make me very happy because they are some really neat vehicles that I look forward to playing.

Here are some examples of armored cars that I think would do quite well in WOT:

* Britain -> Staghound -> 6x6 armored car; 37mm gun, 3-inch howitzer, 6-pounder or a 75mm howitzer; Max Speed = 89 kph

* China & Russia -> BA-6 -> 6x6 armored car; 45mm 20-K gun; 55 kph

* France -> Panhard EBR -> 8x8 armored car; 75mm or 90mm gun; 100 kph

* Germany -> SdKfz 234 -> 8x8 armored car; 20mm KwK 38, 50mm KwK 39, 75mm L/24, or 75mm Pak 40; 90 kph

* United States -> M8 Greyhound -> 6x6 armored car; 37mm gun; 100 kph

There are many halftracks and AA tanks that would also be useful such as the American T48, the German Wirblewind and the Soviet Katyusha. And if WOT never has this then I that would be ok with me as well.

Hi.

You're new here so I'll just let you know that this same idea has been proposed about 42 million times over the past 5 years and WG has repeatedly said they will never introduce wheeled vehicles.  Sorry mate.  Deadest of dead horses.

THIS   ^^^   ... and thank gawd for that.  If you want to play that crap, there is already a place for you to do that.

WG will be wise to keep their game to the "golden age" of TANKS and not get sucked into copying the "other" game ( which is failing on the PvP level ).

This game and forum are YEARS old now. If you think you have a new idea, you don't. It's been brought up before.

At least you could have come up with a British armoured car instead of the Staghound.  How about the Humber, Daimler or Coventry?

Actually, there is a game very similar to WoT in many aspects called ARMORED WARFARE. They have many AFVs and various wheeled vehicles. I would highly recommend that game to anyone who wants to play a modern version of WoT with graphics which look like they came from a mobile game.
