Improved Sound in Update 9.14

I just returned to the game after a 60 day absence (I uninstalled).

 

I think the new sounds (and physics) are a huge improvement, it feels much more real now. It must have taken a lot of effort to go out and record all those effects, but it was well worth it.

only the trolls who want to see this game completely dead will praise the new sounds. 

i dont understand why you like a tanks game if you prefer not having any BASS blasted through your subwoofer from tank sounds. 

go play hello kitty if the original sounds of tanks were too loud for you seriously. 

maybe some ppl should have kept it uninstalled.

The sounds suck. The engine ain't bad, but the guns sound stupid.

After 3 fresh clean reinstall, sound in 9.14 still remains totally inferior to 9.13, and for some of us that is the key problem! I’ve tweaked my slide bars the best that I could, and I changed Dynamic Range in the sound settings to "Wide," and “Ambient” sound is off! There is a very slight sound overall but other problems persist. Tank sounds are low and muffled. My own tanks gunfire and reloading sounds were replaced by what sounds exactly like feeding coins into a casino slot machine (which is completely ironic, but not at all funny) hitting an almost empty tin can with a few other coins! Also, most shell hit sounds onto and into my tank are presently non-existent, and most voice messages alerting me of those hits and penetrations onto and into my tank. I recommend you install a 9.13 type sound option for those of us who want it back. It is unfair that this situation remain the great disadvantage for those of us during battle that it is, and so is of major importance that we get 9.13 type of high quality sound standard again or a real 9.15 fix. Everything other than sound is OK.

I quit playing because of the new sounds.  Just wondering if they have given the option yet to use the old sounds?

First, thanks!  Great idea!!

1) Global sound volume is  20 db lower than pre-patch, making headphone play now void... please increase global sound 20 db minimum then set default volume at 80%.  There should ALWAYS be extra volume capacity.  Needs at least a 20% increase in available volume to use headphones, the method many of us use 100% of the time.

2) All turret gun firing sounds EXACTLY like an airsoft pistol... I know, I tested an airsoft pistol and then fired the tank gun, my daughter said they sound exactly the same.  As a former US ARMY tank gunner, I can assure you the boom you had just before the patch was as close as you can get through speakers.  This new one sounds like we are firing BB guns. Please restore the gun boom and lose the sound of air coming out of the gun, no large caliber gun in the history of guns has an air sound come out before, during, or after firing.

3) BUG:  After a few minutes the Tank Target Lock crew voice vanishes... I don't mean quieter, I mean it is gone.

4)  Tank Tracks Rattle non-stop while driving, right now it seems like I am driving over sand regardless of terrain

5) I like all the new round impact sounds including ricochets.

6) I have only played around 10 thousand games of WoT's but I think it would take another 10 thousand to learn how to differentiate between caliber sizes from hits and ricochet's enough to change any of my tank actions, however, I like the whole idea of it and I'm glad it has been added.
