Hi guys, trying to make a voice mod. Got the .bnk and everything, fired up the game, crashed in the first battle as soon as the timer got to 0. Checked and looks like the .bnk is too large, 16 mbs. I will change some things to make it smaller, but my question is is the crashing what happens when voiceover is too large? Or is something else screwed up and I have other things to fix? Thanks.

Hello

From my experience, if voiceover is too large, you get errors in python.log, you will miss some sounds but never a crash.

If you know names of events not listed here, please share!

Okay, I'm not sure if I'll find my answer here but I'll post anyway. So I decided to change my sixth sense sound. After changing the sound I've been crashing every time I've been spotted. It triggers and sometimes I hear the sound but either way it immediately crashes afterward. Of course, I'm going to go ahead and assume it's the fault of the change from the default sound.

Now the steps that I took to replace the sound was to download another sixth sense mod to get easy access to a sixth sense .bnk file. I'm not sure if that's where I went wrong but any help would be appreciated. I've reverted it for the time being but would love it if someone knew a fix so I could use my custom notification!

How did you change the 6th sense sound? I mean, did you modified gui.bnk or create your own .bnk, how did you load the bank and the sound?

Do you have any errors in python.log before the crash?

By the way, I have a 6th sense mod with special custom sound which can be replaced by user as a wem file, on EU forum here

I have several cases then game crashes after using WWISE 2006.1 for sound modding. I think we should use only WWISE 2015.1 which is compatible with game sound engine.

World of warships had changed how Voice mods can be created in 0.5.8.0 update. Now it is much easier to create them with ingame settings option for the voice mods. You no longer have to create/edit .bnk files anymore. I hope they bring this kind of support over to World of tanks so it can become much easier for you all

Hello,

I made a World of Tanks mod using those steps. Everything went well, but when I start using the mod, it often crashes. What should I do to prevent crashes? Thank you in advance.

I did find number in my python and there, but what can I do with it? You said it will skip the sound, not crash. Size of my .bpk is 10,9MBs, and some sounds do work. Sometimes I crash after 00:00 countdown, sometimes when other sound triggers. Any ideas?

It is not possible to help if you did not give any information except that you find some number.

Which version of wwise have you used to create your Sound Bank?

How did you create your SoundBank file - have you used only wwise or some 3rd party tools?

Hey major renegade i have a problem. I used the same method for world of tanks in order to create a gun sound mod. However, I just modified an existing gun sound mod .bnk file. The game doesnt crash when i load it up, but it crashes once in a while when im in a game and when i fire my specific gun (eg. 105mm L7) near me. It crashes every time i fire it near me towards the ground and sometimes when i fire up in the air and there's no impact. What seems to be the problem causing the crashes?

P.s. I also converted 6 of the gun sounds in the same project to vorbis as opposed to you converting only one, so they all have that same code at the end.

Wish the sections actually said what they were doing... I just want to make a custom Sixth Sense sound but I can't figure out which section that is.

You can do that in vanilla now, without having to do anything mentioned in this topic.

Can someone help me out? I finished making the .bnk file and the game launches fine, but it crashes when certain voice lines are played. I lowered the quality in Wwise to 1 to see if it would help or not. The game stopped crashing during certain lines, but the game still crashes very frequently. Im not sure if this helps or not or even if its the right log, but here is the python log.

Disregard everything I said above, the solution to my problem was literrally a couple posts above mine. I am an idiot I did not read the entire thread. I switched to Wwise version 2015.1 and my mod now works without any issues. Thank you oh venerable Mr. D2R52 for guiding me in my time of need.

Yeah, you can look for my work here.

Or you can jump to my youtube channel.

However, currently, 9.17 update has messed up something and using a music mod will mute all other sounds.

To temporarily fix it, I have to use a 3rd party's sound mods for the most essential sounds (gun, engine, crew).

Hope that I can find a solution in the future.
