CW 2.0.

To me, CW was always the "end game".  Earn your tier 10's and then go play and make some gold.  Then they moved the map from Europe to North America, effectively reduced gold income while adding tank locking and some other bad mechanics to attempt to force the play.  Ok, still, just had to grind enough of the right 10s, and you're solid to play.  Then they came out with 2.0 where the tier 10 playground was significantly limited and you had to grind strongholds for resources to play in CW ("Hey Bro! I heard that you liked to grind, so I added another grind to make your grind even more grindy!").  Done.

good stuff! going to grind now

Multi year full of BS thread. People leave because they are bored. People leave because of most of the posters on the thread make playing a game for entertainment like having to live with your X again.

Does the title refer to players who have played a long time or players who are military veterans ?

Continue discussion.......

"Died of old age" is also possible, given the starting date of the question.

I occasionally leave the game because my bathroom's not large enough to host my desktop, monitor, and table. :amazed:

The management would like to thank you for not posting up an "I'm leaving!" thread every time you did that.

The game has a Kafkaesque feel to it, as if there are outside forces that manipulate your world for their own devilish reasons and RNG is an insufficient explanation for all of it.

Wrecking the mechanics constantly.

Catering to the top 1%

OP everything new.

Then nerf everything new, in a cycle to make people spend cash.

Unbalanced game in general.

ERBs............

I don't play like I used to, nor spend the cash i did.

How are they catering to the top 1%?  And if something comes out OP, I think its just pure stupidity not to expect a nerf.  And then argue against a nerf on something you KNOW is OP.  This is an great example of pure selfishness.

All it breaks down to is - Is the game fun for you.  If it is, keep going.  If it isnt', stop.  Over the years many people have got to the no fun and stop.  I did.  And a LOT fewer of those people come back.  This is just natural attrition.  WoT is one of the only games that I'm still playing after 10 years.  This is the exception and not the norm.
