This game is repetitious and WILL get boring for ALL of us.  It is human nature to find reasons why we do not enjoy things we once enjoyed.  While I have not been here since the beginning, I have no doubt that teams included a lot of "scrub" ever since it's release.  Why is it an issue now?  Maybe it is because with XVM, we can now actually see the scrubs.

Good point about the xvm... probably true... I remember uninstalling it a while because I already got annoyed when game after game the win chance was in the 30-40%. I run XVM now mainly to determine whether the specific individual I am facing is a 'tomato' and if so I use far more aggressive tactics than if he/she is blue.

For me right now- the biggest problems with the game that has made me take extended breaks from the game at times:

-Artillery

-Poor Gameplay quality of Tier 3-6

-P2W premiums with packaged BIA crews, such as the Berlin Trio and Rudy

-Very slow progress on fixing very apparent issues with the game, clearly associated with the company's bureaucratic and international nature

A few of them did try clans...hated it. As for me, I have never been that dedicated to the game to put coin into it or strive to turn purple; I just play and experiment with tactics/locations, and move on.

There are many many clans out there, some bad and some good.   There are clans for all different types of skill sets.   If you find the one that fits you best, I promise, the fun factor for you will go up and maybe bring your friends back.

I still play quite a bit... (but no where near as much) gained some new friends to platoon with and then it is a lot of fun. Playing alone Tier 8-10 is fine, but 5-6 feels random, either you get a couple tomatoes -> you lose, couple half sane people -> you win. First 9 months I put in well over $1000, last 6 months < $200... it's just not worth the money anymore... I'll still buy premium time, but I don't even bother with gold for crew retraining all that much anymore... because why would you... soo many of those thingies you an activate to get extra xp.

that's a lot of money, (for me to put in a game :P), but some have more money some have less and the owner decides what do with it...

im leave teh game because my lap sometimes show only a black screen and logo(LENOVO) not appear and sometimes it run well :(

If you look purely to the amount of dollars one could consider it a lot of money. However the dollar/hour figure is quite low... I have played well over 1200 hours, so per hour it's < 1 dollar of entertainment. If you go to see a movie it's about $10/hour... snowboarding ~$15/hour, etc. I have a prepaid phone... for $10/month, a lot of people use $60/month on a phone or buy starbucks coffee for $4-$5 every day, but find spending money on a game crazy. I'm a game developer myself... so it doesn't bother me to spend on a game.

A lot of the in game friends I've made were pushed out by CW 2.0, aka strongholds for days until it's your second job and not a game.

I burned out.

I never was an op player but never minded that. I am one of those mid level guys who back away from play when the perfectionists go on rants. Never understood taking a hobby and turning it into a competition. The ranters should take up golf since they seem to thrive on frustration.

Truly enjoyed being in clans. TS chat was often more fun than playing.

When my computer died last year it took 3 months to replace it. That sort of cooled off my desire to play as I was forced to go and take up my other hobbies which were (more often than not) hanging in limbo.

When I got back online, World of Warships has become my new Wargaming obsession. I play WoT everyday now but pretty much I'm only doing 2 or 3 battles before logging.

I'll be back someday.  (Oh, AND ... to my shame... I finally went to the dark side... playing WOW... I know... sad, huh?)

I can't speak for others, but I myself have considered dropping out because there are no more challenges.  Sure, there are some stats goals I could pursue, but I've learned all that I want to learn and really have very little left that challenges me.

seriously how many times can one fight on the same old tired maps?

you mean games like LOL and DOTA2 that have fewer maps, more players and larger market share?

its not about the maps. its about the PVP.

i have stopped playing for long periods of time many times mostly from boredom. I still like the game but after awhile anything gets old i have over 365 days of play time in WOW and i haven't played that since MOP. so i still come back to wot from time to time for events and when i fell like shooting stuff with a tank :P

The russians have an orbital microwave laser that they use to target certain players brains.  If there are any undesirable players, they use it to vaporize their brains and "poof" they are gone.  They probably target anyone who does not spend a certain amount of money as they play more battles.  Ever put an egg in the microwave that is still in the shell?  That is what happens to your head when they target it.

I think they call that laser "Marriage".

it's a valid point of view, for me 1000 it is like a month of salary...is right spend some money in the game, they deserve it, i spend only 40dlls in the secret santa in this game, im developer but for cellphones

I am only a casual player, rarely done any clan wars related stuff so I can't attest t those reasons given, but I usually quit because of things WG refuses to address or fix. Arty is one thing I hate but I tolerate that, but what I find hard to tolerate at times is the messed up match making, and the fact that the maturity level of the community and players (not everyone of course) is really poor.

WG is the main problem though, flooding the game with stupid crap like rentals and other stuff that doesn't benefit the game at all, while neglecting to fix the games real issues (dealing with cheat mods, tkers, mm, etc)

Just my opinion and reason I quit now and then.
