If this is how youre going to balance the T22, then dont bring the other reward tanks into it. We already know that youre banning the T22 from WGL finals because you dont want to promote it around the globe. The 260 and CW rewards shouldnt be banned though, they arent immune to gold ammo like the t22 is. Just nerf the t22 and leave it as it is without having to ban all the reward tanks

The decision was made for Challengers and Champions League to ban all reward tanks. As the Open Cup is the first step in the Clan League, it only makes sense to restrict the same tanks.

We had multiple conversations before deciding which, if any, tanks to ban. It was through those discussions that we decided to ban all reward tanks and only allow players to bring tanks that are on sale in the premium shop or are available in the tech tree. FYI, this decision was also made separately from the WGL Grand Finals decision, as these are separate leagues :)

I agree with your decision, but following your logic, shouldn't tanks that used to be on sale but no longer are (such as ]Mutant M6, type 59, and KV-5) be banned as well?

You made the T-22; one of the best tier X mediums as a reward for a completely dead game mode, please do the decent thing and remove it from North America, as it basically promotes rigging at this point.

Other options include:

  • Campaign Reward Tank
  • Public Game Missions

Sounds like a good way to promote fair play, by leveling the land, I believe this was a good move on WG's account. Hope everyone enjoys the tournament!!

That might be tough seeing as the battle times overlap exactly with most Challenger's League battle times.  Unless of course you have a bunch of extra players online that night.

The misconception that the T22 is immune to gold ammo is false.

Shoot it at the gun mantlet or pike.

Quote

Reward tanks, and tanks not available in the tech tree or premium store, are not allowed in Clan League play, including the Qualifiers.

That second quote is from the Season 2 quals post. It looks like they intended to ban them all and are probably just working on getting consistent wording everywhere.

I like this, a good way to get clans involved in clan league.

I hope you get some good turnout for this. Clan League format is much more dynamic and fun than Clan Wars. Great chance for some good fights and great action for lots of clans.

Let's dispel with this notion that WG doesn't know what its doing when it comes to the T-22. WG knows exactly what it's doing when it comes to the T-22.

Just for clarity on the issue of no mods.

Is it permissible to run the game in "safe mode" rather than go through the minutiae of fidgeting with the res mods folder?

Safe mode isn't enough. If you have more then 1 hard drive, just have a clean install of Wot dedicate for clan league on that. Also make sure to entirely clean out your Res_mods folder. WG installed a debug in the latest micro patch, which will show in your python logs as you haveing mods, even if you have none installed.

Is the playoffs 1st place prize 225,000 or 25,000 gold? It's listed as 225,000 gold on the news post, but 25,000 on the tournament page.
