No suggestion is going to please everyone - yours looks to be simple enough to be implemented within the existing campaign architecture and I think everyone would agree it's an improvement over anything that's been put forth by WG. They tried to avoid the clan-license-only mechanic of the first two campaign only to replace it with a system that at least a simple majority of the people playing this game are not intelligent enough to understand. I think this is simple enough for the average joe tanker to at least understand accumulate enough wins = reward tank.

Tier 6 clan wars is so that clans can learn the basics of clan wars.  Its the children's Tee Ball game where nobody keeps score and everyone gets ice cream afterwards.  Tier 6 clan wars fails to teach clan wars strategy because of the small number of players per team.  Tier 8 clan wars is sort of meant to train clans for tier 10 clan wars, however due to the lower number of tanks per team, it doesn't do that effectively.

As its been stated in the clan wars section of the forum many times, the entire tier 6 and 8 clan wars system fails to get clans ready for tier 10 and the small size of the tier 10 map restricts clans ability to compete in end game content.

I hardly agree...T6 is its own game entirely with a completely different set of mechanics driving it. At tier 6 a Cromwell has 750 hit points, but puts out 2,461DPM with vents & a rammer (common tank & equipment used by anyone competitive)...that's more than 3x its own hit points in 1 minute...at tier 10 a Obj140 has 1900 health & puts out 3,447DPM in the same configuration - not even 2x its own hit points in dmg in one minute. So, at T6 you have fewer teammates who individually will be obliterated upon making first contact with a sizable enemy force necessitating the yolo pack meta of T6...that has no bearing on how you play at Tier 10 when map control and setting up crossfires etc. are relevant.

Though, I suppose playing devil's advocate a moment, Tier 6 does put extreme emphasis on the need for focus fire which is one of the most basic skills that differentiates clans at every level - but it's probably the deciding factor in most CW games at any tier in no way unique to Tier 6, if anything T6 punishes you harder for being new to the game and not understanding this.

In my opinion the disparity between armor effectiveness, DPM & hit points is least extreme at T10 and makes T10 the least challenging of all CW modes - the only challenge is finding someone dumb enough to waste so much of their life grinding to have enough tanks to endure the attrition of tank locking (I have 20+, so I'm guilty as charged) and willingness to put up with the frustration of finding land on an unnecessarily small map.

lmbo with the training and people talking like they're from the military you're actually describing the bad clans. The last time Bulba did training was...never.

As for the other stuff, we all have lives, work, and other interests that take up time. It's part of the tradeoff - are you willing to give up whatever you'd be doing instead in the meantime for the reward tank? If not, then don't do it - if yes, then do what's needed to get the tank. No point [edited]about it. It's like, I'd love to have an Olympic gold medal, but if I don't put in the (extreme) effort I don't have a chance at it. Don't see how it's any different here.

no in pretty sure its like we're both playing the same game but you're getting treated exclusively for playing at a different golf course. Olympics, yeah right, the SPECIAL olympics maybe. If you think you deserve a freebie for your "extreme effort" (lol) of playing the same game as everyone else then good for you, you can get the tank for free but i still want the chance to buy it. By that logic you shouldn't be able to buy the marathon tanks because they put in extra effort. CW isn't what's keeping this game afloat, paying customers are and I'm sure a lot of us are pissed at getting fed one copycat prem after another to sponsor the dev time to make a new tank for the CW country club that <5% of the players will ever own. People have been screaming for a chieftain and a GOOD British trainer for years.

I think your ideas have merit but need to be refined. There does become a point where they are giving out too many tanks. Maybe if, let's say on longer campaigns, the clan needs to win at least 10-15 battles to be eligible for a tank license. Just throwing it out. Positive ideas though, keep them going. +1 for you.

So you want to make a clan need to win 1000-1500 battles to get a tank for all of their people....in two weeks? I don't know if anyone has even had that many battles total on the global map.

I don't think you understand the point of clan wars. Its supposed to be end game and give people a reason to grind tanks. That's why there are incentives in clan wars. Things like gold, camo's and tanks are there to incentives players to grind out to tier 8/10 and participate in something which WG has invested time in. Clans and such are a thing in many games and give perks to players who partake in them.

Also you have no idea how much time and effort clan wars is. You have never belonged to a clan, nor partaken in a campaign or clan wars. It becomes like a second job, The last campaign was 4-6 hours a night sitting waiting for battles, going through strats and actually playing. For callers and clan officers its a massive balance of getting players into battles, and making sure you have enough battles to earn fame points.

You can very easily if you wanted to join a decent clan with your stats and see first hand this campaign, just how hard it is to earn a reward tank. That way you could also not spend money and get it for "free."

Most players in clans spend money on the game also, and if you see all the hate in here from clans, WG does no 'cater to us"

A query, it will be 15 vs 15 or 10 vs 10?

No, that is not what I meant. Let me clarify. By only needing one win as proposed, a really large number of licenses would be handed out. A clan could easily win 50 battles in a campaign front. I looked back and my clan won more than that the last campaign, roughly 80 battles. That means we would get 70 licenses based on your system. Lets say the average wins per clan is 20, meaning 20 licenses for lets say 300 claims participating. WG now has to give out 6,000 licenses for tanks. Way too many. They should still be a reward and not handed out.

As I said previously, I like your idea but it needs to be refined. They has to be some middle ground somewhere because the reward tanks should still be rewards, not party favors.

so, rip clan effort to get clans, now all players will fight each other to play a battle and be on top 2k... that sucks... why not 2k for clans and 2k for fame ratings?...

That would make too much sense and would be far too generous..... Alot of work for a meh tank.....

Regs are out. Cool, looks like another giant cluster flip. Too bad they can't try something new for how to distribute tanks :(

The last campaign killed SNRK... 35 tanks to our members - we were all burned out from calling and planning ... we'll see what clans fall apart after this one,.

Especially if wargaming closes the main CW map and forces clans to participate in the campaign.

I am curious if the campaign map will be the only map that is open? Or if a regular map for cws will also be available? It has been done both ways before during previous campaigns. Basically wondering if the participating in the campaign will be the only option for clan wars activity?

not seen information on this yet.

i too wonder.....

Nice to see wargaming got more toys for clan [edited], Thanks for nothing [edited]wads

you're missing the obvious.  this isn't for clans, it's more for a small group of people that aren't very good to earn the tank 25 fame points at a time doing a billion landings/fights...

the reward tank looks neat enough, but it's not one that I'm super stoked to get.  I'll try to help support Simp where I'm needed, but it's highly unlikely I'll be putting the time in to vie for positions internally to be in every single battle for this one.

I'm better off suited with others who may share my view point running strongholds for credits and resources so we can pop credit boosts

information thread my eye'''

please rename to 'place complaints'  and add that wgna will not read or reply.

had to wait till campaign started to find out tier 6 map got wiped.

now i get to tell clan we have no choice... if we want to participate in cw [which we have for 4 years]  we will have to join another over thought and ridiculous campaign...

i know wg don't read or consider forum ideas BUT.... please make an actual world map.. we need the old europe and na maps back and combined.

get the actual global map working right, leave it alone, then create all the brain fart over planned waste of your time [edited]reward campaigns and enjoy...

:P
