Dammit, you've activated my childish mentality to always do the opposite, regardless of how spastic said action might be. I shall buy one, sir!

Kind of amazing how some think that only their opinion matters. To begin with it may not fit his play style so he probably shouldn't buy it.

Luckily his opinion matters little to me since he doesn't even have one to establish a true review on it. For $10 I'll certainly give it a try.

i was watching a purple on twitch earlier, he basically said "I'd recommend people to buy this if it carried 10 more shells - but not in its current state". the potential damage (even if you pen all shells you carry) is seriously less than peers.

can't remember which one though, it was anfield or overlord_prime. i think the latter.

Yea, that ammo count appears to be its biggest weakness and my biggest worry about it.  If you carry any premium for those upper tiers you're probably going to be using it whether you need it or not by the end of the battle.  Luckily the gun appears to be fairly accurate because you won't want to waste any shots.

As usual, Wargaming offers these tanks for sale in the premium shop, but does not offer the same tanks for sale in game where we can spend gold on them.  Another money grab by Wargaming.  What's the point of participating in tournaments and clan wars or buying gold in the premium shop if you can't buy the tanks Wargaming advertises for sale?  Seriously, every time Wargmaing offers these tanks for cash only and not available in game for gold, it means they don't care about the people who play tournaments or clan wars or who bought gold through the premium shop.

Since September 2015, Wargaming has offered these tanks in the premium shop without offering them for sale in the game for gold:

  • Turán III
  • AC 1 Sentinel
  • Panzer 58 Mutz
  • M46 "Ripper" Patton KR
  • M56 Scorpion
  • IS-3A
  • KV-5
  • KV-220-2
  • TOG II
  • T14
  • 105 leFH18B2
  • T-28 F30
  • T-34-85M
  • BT-SV
  • ISU-122S
  • Cromwell B
  • WZ-111
  • FV201 (A45)
  • IS-2
  • T-34-85 Rudy
  • M4 Improved
  • Panther/M10
  • Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f)
  • SU-85I
  • M3 Light
  • KV-220
  • Kanonenjagdpanzer
  • 59-Patton

When you look at that extensive list, you can obviously see what a money grab it is when they offer tanks for sale in the premium shop only and not in game.  Its another reason why I haven't spent money on this game in months.

Yes, it is a real shame when a company tries to make a  profit so they can stay in business, hire good employees and pay said employees. They should fire their programmers and designers and only hire minimum wage employees so they wouldn't need as much money as the game gets stale and they rapidly fade away.

Keep us posted.

Got a few more battles in it, pretty happy with it, got 5 kills in one game and haven't come close to running out of ammo yet. Trying to make shots count though.  It is pretty sluggish on steep hills though.  It must have fairly good camo though, don't get spotted too often. I do have a 3 skill crew with camo though.

Why is it a money grab when a business wants to make a profit?  By your logic then any clan wars or tournament tanks should be available in the premium shop.

Many players have PURCHASED GOLD FROM THE PREMIUM SHOP in the past.  Wargaming already made their profit off those players with their gold purchase.  Those players are not able to buy tanks in game with the gold they purchased form the premium shop.  Even though Wargaming has already made a profit off those players with their purchase for game currency, those players are not allow to buy new in game items with their game currency.  In the past Wargaming has offered tanks on sale at a discount both in the premium shop and in game or offered the tanks for sale when the next patch or update was available.  Wargaming changed that practice to only selling tanks in the premium shop only.  Those players who purchased gold from the premium shop are not allowed to buy tanks with the gold they purchased form the premium shop.

Those players who won gold in tournaments and clan wars are not allowed to buy tanks with their winnings for their hard work.  Its like Wargaming saying, Great work guys, but if you want any new tanks you won't be allowed to buy them with your prize winnings.  Keep up the good work and don't expect to buy anything new with your winnings from your hard work.

You really have some reading comprehension and logic issues don't you?  How does clan wars and/or tournament prize tanks have anything to do with tanks for sale in the premium shop?  Those are prizes for players hard work and mastery of game skills and teamwork.  They aren't tanks that Wargaming intended anyone with a credit card or paypal account to buy.  Please don't tell me you are one of those people who thinks everyone should be able to buy an M60 or IS-5 without working for it.  "That's like saying I don't want to get good at football, so I'm going to buy a Heisman trophy."

A little annoyed that the Turan III crew is not Hungarian ...

That would pave the way for a Hungarian Tiger ...

Yeah, kinda chknsht, but hey, WG brought us other crap from the Fantasywaffe - at least the Hungarian Tiger was real ...

More real in fact, than the Jap Tiger - the two or three Hungarian Tigers actually saw combat.

(The Jap Tiger also saw combat, but not in Japanese hands ...)

They might not sell as many though if it was. I wouldn't have bought it, I want crew trainers for crews I currently have. They would have had to start a Hungarian line and get people grinding in it first.  Especially since they put the Toldi in the German line also.

There are many great tanks for sale for gold in the tech tree.  They will never sell every premium tank in the game for gold since practically everything can be bought with gold now and gold can basically be gotten for free by being in an active clan.  i.e. earning gold on the clan map.  The tanks sold in the premium shop are a huge reason so many people can play this game for free.

To my knowledge every new premium tank that isnt sold as "limited time only" is still added to the tech tree and sold for gold the patch after it is released.  Its just that most of the ones released lately have been "limited time only"...

It seems like Wargaming is giving a big middle finger to the small percentage of good players who learn the game and do well in clan wars and tournaments and the players who bought gold through the premium shop when they do premium shop only tanks.  It makes the in game gold less useful.  Many players I've spoken with about the for sale only in the premium shop tanks feel this way.

Sure, I could use my gold buy something like a 112 buy why would I want to?  I already have the WZ-111.  I have no desire to buy any more low tier premiums.  So I have gold in game that's basically useless except for equipment dismounting.

The amount of gold earned by players in the top 25 clans is probably a lot less than you think it is.  Most of them only get enough to pay for premium time and a little extra if they are active enough.  Its usually only the top 5 clans that really get good gold payouts.  Many clans save gold for when their income on the map drops so they can continue to give payouts.

Pass. If this was a premium german heavy tank I would have bought it in an instant. It's yet another medium and it has some very questionable stats and it's Tier 5. Got tired of driving T5 anything a long time ago. No incentive for me to buy this tank at all, moving on.

So it's a big middle finger to give you free gold for playing a game and give you access to pretty much everything gold buys but a few of the newer premium tanks most of which no one wants anyways for any price or currency and some of which go for sale for gold the next patch or so?
