Actually it's a picture of a diorama I made using World of Tanks map as a guide.

For most people who just like to shoot in arcade style games and take the occasional holiday off from work but maybe not know what some of this game was based from it is great information.  I feel sorry for the younger generations as all this history becomes more grey every generation they may never know that they could be living a different life better or worse.

  Due to translation and national pride things may not be exactly as it was represented but that is no different from any post or available reading, it gives the reading character, and its good to see people supporting their heritage in their point of view.

It's regarded as the best study of the battle to date. Glantz had access to Red Army records and AARs that no one else had managed, along with the German reports and AARs.

I'd sum up the book but it would be pathetic for me to even try. Read the book.

How about a Kursk map limited to tanks that were at Kursk?

Fun...and resolved the problem of such large gaps in tank class in random match games.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the battle of Kursk fought during an extremely poor weather period? Clouds so low that soviet and german planes could not support their armor?

Not quite. The Germans deployed tanks ranging from the Tiger to the Panzer 3. The Soviets however had yet to produce the IS tank, meaning that there would be a significant gap in tiers.

From what I know, the Battle of Kursk was the biggest tank in history.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

YES PLEASE!   I don't even care if the server can't represent the entire battle.  Let's just do a portion of it (and other historical battles) as the match-ups allow based on tier and available tanks.    I'm tired of all this random crap and I only have a few hundred battles to my name.

My late Grandfather was in this battle, he said it was Hell, the retreat was even worse. The German army was hounded all the way back to their lines.

I like to know why they never show germany kicking ass its always russia or the allies.

Oh you mean like it is now? Tier 4s vs tier 8s, the 4-6s are lucky to make it out alive.

Cause its a Russian company maybe? American tanks are screwed up too. I feel sorry for the Brits, WG must not like them much because theyre not in World of warplanes either.

Brit tanks aren't in yet, when they are I'm sure they'll get their own specials

Maybe an El Alamein one? I'd be up for that
