UPDATE:
Mediafire links all died, so put all the files over on nexus.  All the mods can be found here:
http://worldoftanks....s.com/mods/611/

I've seen a fair few people talking about bringing the voices from Company of Heroes into World of Tanks, as replacements for the default voice overs.  I thought to myself this was a good idea, so I've gone ahead and made some voice packs.

NOTE.  CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE

Version Differences
Generic Version - This only uses sounds from Company of Heroes, and excludes those that state the name of the vehicle, or the target (E.G, "Wolverine, on the prowl")
Extended Version - This uses the sounds from the generic version, but where there were not suitable files to be used, it uses the appropriate sound from the World of Tanks standard voice packs.  Brits + US have the English version voices, and PE + Wehr have the German version voices.
Extended Buzz Version - Special pack for the US using the updated WoT default voice pack that was swiftly removed from the game.
Extended Somatone Version - Special pack for the US using the updated WoT voice pack that was added as an option to replace the 'Buzz' voices.  Can be found here.

Installation Instructions
Extract both the files to your res_mods\###\audio directory (where ### is the version number of the game at that time, E.G, for me at 7.1.1 it is "C:\Games\World_of_Tanks_closed_Beta\res_mods\0.7.1.1\audio").  If you can only hear the crew voices after this (I.E no other sounds at all), also copy the original \audio folder from WoT to the mod directory.  This link explains more (thanks MrCyberdude for the link and tip).
Please leave any feedback on the voicepacks, so I can improve them.

Voice Packs, generic version
British Voices used: Churchill and Cromwell.
Panzer Elite Voices used: JPanth, P4 Stubby, Hetzer, Hummel, Wirbelwind,  Marder III.
Wehrmacht Voices used: P4, StuG, Ostwind, Tiger, Panther.
American Voices used: Sherman, Croc, Pershing, Wolverine, Hellcat.
German Voices used: Combined of the Panzer Elite and Whermacht.

A few notes on the voices, Company of Heroes does not have all the same damage options for tanks as World of Tanks, and the damage model in terms of penetration etc, is fairly different.  As such, there aren't any voices directly for a lot of the possibilities that can occur in a WoT battle.  Where this has happened, I've just added generic voices and damage reports, or tried to get as close a fit as I could.  So, below are a few notes on what the crew means when they say something.

Universal
Damage from HE explosion near you - They'll say something about incoming arty Woops, seems that the damage_by_near_explosion_by_player event was actually for when your arty shells have just missed the target.  Thanks Kazza for pointing it out.
Tracks repaired - Crew will tell you to move.
Normal hit on enemy - Crew will tell you the shot hit.
Crit hit - Crew will compliment the hit.  E.G., "Hit, damn that was good to see." etc.

British
No voices - ally killed, enemy killed by ally, fire put out, gun/optics/turret repaired, lost sight of target.
Enemy armour not pierced or bounced - The crew will say something like, "Target hit, get us out of here!"
A crewman dies (except for gunner) - "We've lost Alistair!"
Critical damage to your own tank - Something about taking heavy fire, or heavy damage etc.  Except for Engine, Gun, Radio, and Tracks destroyed.
Engine repaired - "Alright chaps, fire her up."

Panzer Elite
No voices - ally killed, shot bounced/failed to pen, engine/gun/optics/turret repaired, fire put out, lost sight of target, vehicle killed, victory.
Defeated - Crew will insult you.
Wounded Crew - Something about injured Crew.  Gunner and Loader also have a couple of unique voices.
Tracks damaged or destroyed - Something about the drive train or shaft damaged.
Critical damage to your own tank - Heavy fire, critical damage, heavy damage etc.  Except for Tracks, Optics, Gun, and Engine.

Wehrmacht
No voices - ally killed, shot bounced/failed to pen, enemy hit/crit hit, entire crew disabled, enemy on fire, fire put out, gun/optics/turret repaired, lost sight of target.
Wounded Crew - No unique crew, all generic "we have crew wounded".
Critical damage to your own tank - Heavy fire, critical damage, heavy damage etc.  Engine, Gun, Turret, have some unique voices.

American
No voices - ally killed, shot bounced/failed to pen, enemy hit/crit hit, any crew injured notifications, fire started and put out, gun/optics/turret repaired, lost sight of target.
Critical damage to your own tank - Heavy fire, critical damage, heavy damage etc.  Engine and Gun have some unique voices.

At the moment, I've tried to keep the voices as "generic" as possible, and by that I mean they don't refer to their own tank, etc.  E.G I didn't use any files for the Brits, where the crew said, "Churchill, bla bla bla".  The only exception I think is where the PE crew will tell you "they are JagdPanzer, and they hate you" if you lose.  In the same vein I tried to minimise the use of files where the crew stated their target, beyond generic terms like, "Panzer", etc.  So no, "Gunner, target that Sherman" etc.  However, if people want these in their voice packs, I'll make another set that include the "non-generic" terms.

Voice Packs, extended version
British Voices used: Churchill and Cromwell, WoT American localised voices
Panzer Elite  Voices used: JPanth, P4 Stubby, Hetzer, Hummel, Wirbelwind,  Marder III, WoT German localised voices
Wehrmacht  Voices used: P4, StuG, Ostwind, Tiger, Panther, WoT German localised voices
American  Voices used: Sherman, Croc, Pershing, Wolverine, Hellcat, WoT American localised voices
German Voices used: Combined of the Panzer Elite and Whermacht.

Basically same as above, but World of Tanks voices used where there were NO files suitable for the appropriate sound event.  The exception is the British voices for failing to penetrate the target's armour, where I just replaced them.

Voice Pack, extended 'buzz' version
American Voices used: Sherman, Croc, Pershing, Wolverine, Hellcat, WoT updated American localised voices .

Exactly the same as the American extended pack, just with the newer WoT voices rather than the original ones.

Voice Pack, extended 'somatone' version
American Voices used: Sherman, Croc, Pershing, Wolverine, Hellcat, WoT somatone American localised voices .

Exactly the same as the American extended pack, just with the newer 'somatone' WoT voices rather than the original ones.

Shame, I would have liked to have used 'Puma's engaging our armour... GOOD LUCK!' for bouncing shots. But obviously, touch too specialised.

German-English, all the voices are taken from the English version of CoH.

Can you include default voice overs for things the mod does not cover? Use German for PE and Wehrmacht, and use English for everyone else. Also seems to be rather empty, as I'll get standard hits and no voice over feedback - most of the time the only feedback I get is when I obtain a kill.

That's not a bad idea, it shouldn't be too hard, I'll see what I can do.

British voices sound great but they are a bit quiet. Can you turn up the volume a bit?

Deathskyz's Photo Deathskyz Jul 25 2011

Yeah. How do I make the voices louder? I set my volume to max and the game Crew Vol to max but its still soft

Muffled voices and sounds, IIRC, is a side effect of sound modding in WoT. I'm just curious as to how he got this mod working.

If you want the voices louder turn down volume on all other thing but voices then adjust overall volume to your liking.

How did you get your mod to work? I tried to do an Arnold Schwarzenegger voiceover with a friend but couldn't get it to work after compiling.
