I bought the T-44 about 2 weeks ago. I have the KV-13's (T-43's but I am not sure) gun : the 85mm D5T-85BM, Tier X radio, 2nd Tracks. For equipment I have the Enhanced Gun-Laying Drive and a Rammer. for the 3rd I don't know if I should go with Vertic-Stabs or Wet-Rack*. My Crew (ALL my crew except for Commander are from the KV-13 #Beast) :

  • Commander (93%) : BIA, 6th, and 77% Recon (female member)
  • Gunner (101%) : BIA, 83% Snapshot
  • Driver (101%) : BIA, 83% Smooth Ride
  • Loader (101%) : BIA, 83% Repairs, I don't know if I should go for Safe Stowage* (IF I do, I will use the Vertic-Stabs

My plans are to get the LB-1 then to grind for the top engine. My questions are:

  • Am I doing it right?
  • Should I go for Safe Stowage AND Vertic-Stabs OR Another skill/perk AND Wet-Rack OR I should go Safe Stowage AND Wet-Rack?
  • Any Recommendations?

The standard equipment for a medium tank is Rammer, VStab, Optics.

Yes, Safe Stowage is the best from the loader's set. It prevents the turret from flying off your tank every so often. Keep in mind that it's a perk though, so you may want to keep training repairs and retrain for silver when you reach about 50% of the next skill.

So should I reset my Loader for Safe Stowage?

I would not use the EGLD. Vert stab, optics or even vents would be better.

No, better keep Repairs since SS will be useless until 100%. When you complete Repairs choose some other skill and when it reaches 50% retrain for silver and select BIA,SS and Repairs again.

Whoa, let's back up a little here.  For starters, by the time you get tier VIII your crew should have at least two fully trained skills/perks.  Many players do the initial race to the top tiers without understanding this, play poorly once they get there, then spend some miserable time straightening things out.  I advise you to learn this sooner than later.

I mostly play meds, and I always train the loader in safe stowage first, as it prevents a lot of headaches the rest of the way up.  Because of this, I have never purchased a wet rack, that slot is much better used by other equipment.  I agree with Blacky on his equipment choices.

You are wasting the potential of your female crew member by isolating her in this crew layout.  The Sisterhood of Steel perk she has is not compatible with BIA, so none of your crew will get the skill bonus.

Several other posts have been made since I started typing, likely others have said similar things.

Bia then repairs on all crew

bia 6th repair commander.

i sometimes even take toolbox and drop vents. That with repair skill you fix broken track so quick and as a med you can't be stopped for to long

just my thoughts though, everyone plays different.

Nice, point. I failed to notice that. So BIA doesn't work either right now. He needs to get rid of the girl.

I also have a male KV-13 commander with BIA I think and 6th. So should I retrain to The T-44? And will Safe-Stowage stop my rack problems or it will reduce it? What I'm saying is that will my ammo rack be as good as the "normal" tank once I get Safe Stowage?

T-44 is one of my keeper tanks, and I have played over 200 matches without a wet ammo rack.

For me, there is more important equipment to use over the wet ammo rack. Which true for any tank.

Safe Stowage increases the module hit points, which means it will still get damaged, but rarely destroyed completely ( tank blown up).

Rammer, vstab, vents.

BIA, camo + 6th, repairs.  Fit safe stowage in somewhere, and preventive maintence if you plan on running food.  Snap shot and smooth ride have almost no effect, the way the dispersion on move is calculated it's a pittance.

Stacking vents and BIA will give you enough view range in corridor meta.  Stacking them will also improve gun handling, vents and BIA improve final accuracy, which makes your gun more accurate at all times.  It will also make everything about your tank better.
