I hate " Thank you for your service" how about instead what branch were you in ?

I know a lot of Viet Nam vets who would have been thrilled to be thanked for their service.

I happily donated my one time - got it over - completed the mission thing last night.

I'm wondering though, why only can I do it once, there are not enough active players for us to get anywhere near the 100K goal...

Considering there is never more than 20k on at a time. How many active players play enough even to do this now 60k 80k? Is there really 100k players willing to do this as I only come back for x3s and x5s since I stopped spending money on this game back in Feb 2015.

Yes, a lot of us are wondering the same thing. As I mentioned earlier, they should have just made their donation with no strings attached.

We'll see what happens....

Wargaming

Great job tankers!

Through your efforts, we have raised an amazing $89,153 for the Fisher House Foundation so far! Way to go!

There must be far more players in NA than I realized.

Really excited to see WG step up and support Vets through the great Charity Fisher House.
A donation of any amount helps charities, a $125,000 donation will have a massive impact on vets and thier Families.

Thank you again for doing this WG.

My only question and reason for posting is-- Does Wargaming NA have the kind of population to make the 100k a realistic goal? If it was repeatable per account it would be one thing, but as a daily player, I don't see the numbers to support the text of the event.

Oh look, Wargaming used actual data to make a realistic goal and it was vastly exceeded. Boy, this guy should feel really stupid.

^..We shouldn't be differentiating. I don't see the difference between the two. War is War.

It doesn't change because of a date, and there is nothing "gracious", or "happy" about it. Let's not start glorifying it now. I stand behind my posts.

Yes we should differentiate, Veterans Day is for all those that served, Memorial Day is for all those that died in combat and while active duty and Armed Forces day is to celebrate our military. Know the difference and don't disrespect the men and women that gave all.

Let me tell you a story...and yes, it is a true story.

*Long, long ago, when I was a young person, one of the first part-time summer jobs I ever took was with a small local company that was hired to repair and rebuild our townships local World War I Memorials and Cenotaphs. So it began. My job was to save these great monuments from the effects of time, decades of neglect, and many, many harsh northern winters. Gladly, and with great honour, I worked tirelessly in the hot sun to rebuild and repair these monuments, so that they would remain. So that our future towns folk would have a place to go to reflect and remember those soldiers that made the ultimate sacrifice.

I won't go into any detail regarding the "jobs" I later volunteered for, and some of the terrible places I found myself in, except to say that I will always have a deep and profound respect for ALL our veterans. So, please... don't accuse me of being disrespectful just because I refuse to "celebrate" and "glorify" war, and "all for which it stands"...regardless of the date.

And as a rule, each year I still go and revisit many of these same Cenotaphs and War Memorials that I helped rebuild as a young person. With each passing year I stand beside them...and I remember. I remember their sacrifice.....not in "celebration", but in hopes that it will NOT be repeated, and so that they will not be forgotten.
