Does it crash during the replay?

No ... but the reason why I have the replay is because I took out the sound mod after the game crashes so I can play the rest of the that game

Put the mod in, try the replay, and tell me if it crashes. If it crashes, check the Python.log and post the last few lines here.

I can narrow down the tanks that might be causing problems based on the screenshot, but it would be really helpful to have the python.log.

Sorry for the late reply.

I played the replay but it seems like working during replay...I had another crash while playing churchill VII , I notice it only crashes in low tier ..I play tier 8 or above most of the time which has no problem at all.

Hi! I found a problem with this modification. Mod conflicts with the file of tank M4A3E8, therefore: 1) in combat this tank is not visible until it is destroyed 2) if you select the tank in the hangar, the game freezes with the words "updating crew".

Attached File   python.log   168.96K

ERROR: ValueError: Cannot attach given WGVehicleFashion to Model 'vehicles/american/A06_M4A3E8_Sherman/normal/lod0/Chassis.model' as 'tmp' because model does not have the node named 'Track_VT_R0'.

(Second paragraph from bottom)

Oh, thank you! I am using Milkym4n's HD M4A3E8, so I must have forgotten to delete that XML for the tank. Just delete it and it should be fine.

Okay.

By the way, I want to thank you for this mod.  In European and Russian regions, no one was able to revive this mod, even partially. After leaving "gnomefather", you're the only one who was able to partially revive the old sounds. Thank you very much for that.

Oh, it is my pleasure! Thank you for your kind comments :)

There were actually two others who tried, but they kind of half-assed it (one of them didn't change the sound for lower tier tanks)

I hope to add more sounds someday, but I'm satisfied with what I have for now and would like to fix any bugs remaining

So Concerning the Visual model changes. How do you remove them? are they in item_def in Scripts? because the tanks with visual changes match that.

the 704 Bl10 is the Derp 152, The Is-3 bl-9 is a D25T. The Panthers L/100 7.5cm is The Stock L/52? 7.5cm, Cromwell 75mm HV (top gun)

 And a few others

And One other thing.  I love what you're doing here with this mod. And the sounds are fantastic.  The sounds in your mod are pretty much ported over from The original correct? The only difference between them is the playback speed of the gun on some tanks. like the Nato 105s and the 20pdrs and The 85mm on Russian tanks, and a few others. Other than that its Fantastic. :)  Thanks for your hard work Buddy.

For the most part, the sounds used in the mod are those that were in Gnomefather's. The 20-pdr and 105 derps have a new sound, though.

As for the model changes, yeah, go to "item_defs", then into "vehicles" and then each country's folders and delete the offending XMLs. As for the Obj 704, I don't remember changing the model for it (I don't have the tank). It should still show the BL-10. Look in the XML file under "turrets0", go to the BL-10 under "guns", then "models", and tell me if it is a Gun_01 or Gun_02 there. Gun_02 should be the BL-10 model.

Thanks you for your kind comments. :) I still need to fix some vehicles that have the wrong sounds, but it is a real pain in the [edited]to go through all the XMLs one by one.

My Mistake About the 704.  But Concerning the 20Pdr, Do you still Have The original Sound? The really Loud Crack? Because That sound was awesome lol.

And thank you for the Model help :)

Regarding the playback speed Comment... I have no doubt they are the correct sounds. But If you notice on like the T30s 155 and T-3485s Top 85.. They are deeper tones and lets not say lower quality but as if they are kind of crackling and Stuttering? Im not bashing your work im just notifying you that the playback speed is a tad slower than the original, Which is most likely the cause of those sounds doing what they do. But Keep up the good work :)

That 155 mm gun sound is unfortunately because of the recording. There's nothing I can do to fix that (it's from Men of War) The T-34-85 gun sound is actually the old 20-pdr sound, it is the generic cannon sound from the original Call of Duty. I decided to give the 20-pdr a more unique sound purely for personal aesthetic reasons.

Most of the sounds Gnomefather (and by extension, this mod) used are from other games like the Forgotten Hope mods for BF1942/BF2, Men of War, Call of Duty

These sounds are very loud. Can they be edited/remastered (I believe they're clipping) and have their volume reduced?

Remastering is not really possible, since I'm stuck with the sound files, and some of them are not very good. Changing the loudness can be done, but it's hard to know what level to use. Any particular offending sounds?

May I also suggest lowering the effects volume ingame? That is what determines how loud gun sounds are.

Can i just say I absolutely love what you've been doing with this?

I was pretty miffed at the new sounds which reminded me of a bunch of high pressure potato shooters.

With this mod, I actually feel like I'm shooting people with something resembling effectiveness. :)

You're welcome, though, if you downloaded it just now you might want to try again, I had to fix something (WG decided to mess around with the sound files structure again, it should work now)

Effects adjust many things though, like track/engine sounds and also hit sounds, too. The gun sounds are just very loud. Do you think you could contact Gnomefather and get his originals?

I have his originals. They are just that loud by default.

It is possible to adjust the loudness in WWise, but that is very time consuming to find the right level. I have to figure out how many dB to reduce the loudness by, but let me see if WWise has a way of globally reducing the volume

Did it have to do with the Lanchester guns? I noticed they didn't have a sound after I installed it. I'll download it again now ^^
