If players follow the dispute rules, posted again in this message, any player(s) who brought an illegal tank will be disqualified for that match and/or the entire round. That is what we are doing about it, since it is currently impossible to limit tank types before special battles pop...

Run into a player that brought something other than a tank destroyer? Send in a dispute immediately after all matches in the tournament have ended and we will adjust the scores. Please note, you must include all of the requested information when you submit your dispute!

Disputes must adhere to the protocol detailed below or risk having the dispute dropped by tournament administration.

  • Disputes must be submitted immediately after all matches in the tournament have concluded
  • Disputes must be emailed to tournaments@wargamingamerica.com
  • The email subject: Tank Destroyer 1v1 Throwdown Dispute

Disputes must include the following in the body of the email or risk having the dispute dropped by tournament administration:

  • In-game name of the player submitting the dispute
  • Name of the tournament (Tank Destroyer 1v1 Throwdown)
  • Your team’s name with a link to your team’s page created for you during registration
  • Your opponent’s team name and a link to your opponent’s team page created during registration
  • Reason for dispute: e.g. “I would like to report the team for using a tank that was not allowed, the StuG III.”
  • An attached replay of the disputed battle(s)

Disputes will normally be processed the Monday after the tournament ends.

What'll be done about the Round 7, Dance?

Disputes

A dispute is a claim against an illegitimate result by an opponent’s violation of a written Tournament rule.

Disputes must adhere to the protocol detailed below or risk having the dispute dropped by tournament administration.

  • Disputes must be submitted immediately after the round has concluded.
  • Disputes must be emailed to tournaments@wargamingamerica.com
  • The email subject/title must include the word “Dispute:” followed by the name of the event for which you are filing a dispute.
  • Disputes may only be filed by the team captain or any team member listed under team’s contact details.

Disputes must include the following in the body of the email or risk having the dispute dropped by tournament administration:

  • In-game name of the player submitting the dispute
  • Name of the Tournament
  • Your team’s name with a link to your team’s page created for you during registration
  • Your opponent’s team name and a link to your opponent’s team page created during registration
  • Reason for dispute: e.g. “I would like to report the team for using a tank that was not allowed, the StuG III.”
  • An attached replay of the disputed battle(s)

Additional notes:

  • Opposing team captains will be alerted of the dispute by forum PM after the dispute is processed.
  • Captains are responsible for monitoring their PM inbox.
  • Three upheld disputes during a group stage reverses all scores from the offending team for that round.
  • One upheld dispute during playoffs disqualifies the offending team from that round.
  • Publicizing disputes prior to resolution is subject to penalties at tournament admin's discretion, not limited to:
    • Disregarding the dispute
    • Immediate team disqualification
    • Removal of offending player from the event

I think the round seven glitch impacted the second round of some players. interesting to see how it is resolved.

@Livewire70, the rules state that each dispute successfully upheld reverses only that battle's results. However, three upheld disputes result in ALL of that team's results being overturned.

Lesson here is...EVERYONE needs to dispute a player bringing an illegal tank even if they win the match against that player.

I sent in a dispute including replays..There reply was the guys that set up tourney didnt put the safe guard in it and they are not giving me a victory for the players that brought in wrong tanks. I never got them and cause me to finish 3rd instead of 1st. the guy playing a IS-3 in the light throwdown won the top prize.

Group 5 1v1 TD tourney 5/21/16. Player A1eyedwalmartworker showed early on in tournament bracket he beat me when game was not till 2nd to last game in bracket, on bracket it showed we played at 16:04 but I was in game at 16:00 with Scougs. Has to be some kind of glitch, never even played A1. Need to be adjusted.

so in other words, since some players never show for tourney means you can take whatever tank you want.

If you were sent a response that you're dispute was invalid, it's because you were missing one or more of the following:

  • Your team name/link to team page
  • Opponent team name/link to team page
  • Screenshot or replay
    • Screenshot/replay needs to show player names as well as tank names. Missing either of those means you have an invalid dispute

If you sent in a dispute and ONLY included your ingame name and/or opponent ingame name, then you didn't follow the rules an sent in an invalid dispute and it was declined.

Personally I think if a person brings the wrong tank to even one battle, they should be dq'd from the entire tournament, not just the one battle you get a complaint on. That is stupid when someone can cheat their way into gold if nobody else complains.

I agree with GenPanzer. One of my friends sent in a replay last week against someone who brought an IS-3 but because he lost to most of the other players they did not send replays in.

Hers was the only battle result overturned and as a result she was still ranked lower than the IS-3 player. She wasn't happy about it.

@Player072, you have to file a dispute using the dispute rules that Dance210 posted.
