Poll: Choices (256 members have cast votes)

Now that I saw the stats...

  1. I'll pick one up and use it as my "main" tank (118 votes [46.09%])

    Percentage of vote: 46.09%

  2. I'll get one to mess around with (93 votes [36.33%])

    Percentage of vote: 36.33%

  3. I'm not bothering, as it's outclassed (for what reason, like Clan Wars competition, weapon stats, armor?) (45 votes [17.58%])

    Percentage of vote: 17.58%

228mm of penetration is acceptable. The only tanks in game that you will struggle to penetrate frontally would be the Maus, T95 and E-100 itself. Should make a great medium killer.

The IS4 and IS7 will put up a fight as well. The penetration is essentially the same as the Tiger IIs 105L68. But its a free gun [in addition to the tier X 128] so people shouldnt complain.

What i dont understand is the turret upgrade vs stock. I would never take 240/150/150 over 220/210/210. That is a massive drop in side and rear turret protection to gain a cannon that has a rather terrible ability to repel attackers [poor penetration & a reload speed of ~16 seconds]. The only really good thing is additional traverse speed but still, sacrificing 60mm of overall protection for it? As soon as the E-100 fires every medium in the game will laugh and eat it alive.

Its balanced with normal AP shells.. but if ppl use HEAT shells, its OP as heck. I guess they just want ppl to pay more gold.

Edit: The E series has supercharging to gain +25% engine HP for a short duration.. for when u need speed, you got it.

The supercharging is a gold consumable.

So yes, this is very much a gold eating tank.

Well, looks like both sides weren't quite right, yet not wholly wrong either (and I say this as one who thought the E-100 would get great penetration). While the gun's penetration is feeble at tier 10, it's still a far cry better than the tier 5 trollcannon many feared it would be. If these stats carry over to release, it looks like it might be a decent tank. Not ridiculous, but not terrible either. I think that will make it one of those tanks that some people will love and some will hate, depending on personal playstyle.

Anyway, thanks for the stats, mate. I'm glad I kept my Tiger. Looks like the E-series should be some fun. :Smile-playing:

EDIT: Just for fun, I looked up some stats and found a few things. First, the "stock" turret on the E-100 has the exact same performance as the Mausturm. No surprise there, since they are literally the same turret.

Health:
E-100(according to pics)  2950
Maus                      3200
IS-7                      2200
T30                       2500

So, the E-100 has a pretty noticeable health advantage over every other tier 10 but the Maus. That's nice. :Smile_great:

Guns (using standard AP):
E-100(as per pic)     223 penetration; 750 damage; 3.64 RoF; 0.37 accuracy; 2.5 aim time
Maus                  246 penetration; 490 damage; 4.69 RoF; 0.33 accuracy; 2.5 aim time
IS-7                  260 penetration; 490 damage; 5 RoF; 0.35 accuracy; 3 aim time
T30                   276 penetration; 750 damage; 3.64 RoF; 0.35 accuracy; 2.7 aim time

The E-100 looks merely okay here. The low penetration really stands out. Still, it bears keeping in mind that the T30 is being changed to a tier 9 TD. While it will keep its gun, I doubt its HP will be untouched. When it moves, the E-100 will likely become more desired in all battles as the undisputed king of high alpha in heavies. That said, it looks like E-100 drivers will need to learn well on the Tiger II all the weak points of the upper tier heavies, since 223mm average penetration is pretty weak at tier 10.

Happy tanking all, whether you plan on driving this beast or not...

You sir are a saint.  I feel such utter relief as a German tanker now that the E-100 will be a great tank. :Smile-izmena:

I would love to see the amount of XP needed to get from the Tiger 2 to the E-100 and what "extras" I do or do not have to buy to get through the E75

It costs (without tracks just the necessities aka not putting stuff on the E75) 270,460xp to get through the E75 alone.

So, "Supercharging/Afterburning" is a Gold consumable on top of kinda needing HEAT ammo?  What a greedy developer.  I mean, to get the most out of this tank, which is with all of it's bells and whistles (as advertised), you're forced to buy gold for it.  Sheer, disgusting, greed.  Disappointed all around.

EDIT: Guess you don't need Gold for it's special afterburner/supercharging.  That's a relief.  I'll believe the end of it when I'm playing it though.

I hope they bump up the stock pen a little.  That's a HUGE difference in pen right there.

Have to agree, that turret is one major weak spot.

The supercharger is not a gold consumable atm, trust me.

Well that's good. Hope it stays that way.  Kinda sucks that it takes up an offensive accessory.

Just thought I'd also point out that the E-100 doesn't appear to use HEAT as its gold rounds. The middle penetration and damage stats (which are for premium rounds) show an increase to penetration, but not damage. That is characteristic of APCR rounds. In game, HEAT rounds tend to actually have less penetration but more damage than standard AP, and more penetration but less damage than HE. They're sort of a "middle ground" between the two.

not true, check the russian 152mm howitzers, ap and heat damage are the same.

Wow this made me want to go down to german heavy line. But cant they do something about that turret, it look like it doesnt match the tank body at all.

Look at those hitpoints,

look at that tank

look at that gun

Chances of me now finishing my T34->T30 grind? 0%

On the Afterburners:

Posted Image

It's a consumable costing 5,000 credits, adds 15% engine power to the E-series tanks.

This looks decent for standard matches, but really OP in clan wars where there are gold rounds flying around due to its superior alpha and HP

I'm REALLY surprised at the HP level. I was expecting around 2300/2400. Honestly if nothing changes much between now and the patch release, this will be by  far the most in demand clan vehicle.
