clean install,  no mods.  Can't get into a single battle.

Still having this problem. Reinstalled a clean version.... still locking at 90%, even on proving grounds. This is [edited].

I've had a very similar problem since 9.15 launched.  When I start WoT, I get to the garage fine.  I hit "Battle" and the first match will ALWAYS freeze about 90% loading.

If I then click a few times on that window, it will "gray out" and Windows 10 will report it is not responding.  I then hit the red X in the upper right, and it kills it.

I then restart WoT, and I will log in right into the battle, already started.  From then on, it will play fine - no more freezing going into battles. But that first battle after I initially start WoT will always, ALWAYS freeze, and only since 9.15.

I had the same problem with the game freezing, usually the first game after a reboot or even waking from sleep mode. After some investigation, I noticed that Windows Defender seem to be using an inordinate amount of CPU at approximately the time I was trying to load WoT. When I disabled It from booting, the problem disappeared. Now I realize that my experience could be totally capricious and there might well not be any cause-and-effect relationship. But since everybody is grasping at straws, I thought I'd toss this out. I'm running Windows 7, with a clean copy of WoT and no mods.

Consistent problem I have when I boot up the client for the first time. Go into a battle, loads to 90%

I've been closing my game client and then loading back in ASAP and it loads in about 70% of the time. After that I can play as many battles as I want without the issue unless I restart the client.

I have had the same problem to.  The only thing that works for me is deleting the appdate file. I get to it by hitting the window+r buttons and typing "%appdata%wargaming.net".  Then I delete that file and it works for a while.  Be warning you lose all your setting including your password.

The only way that it is playable right now is if your first battle you put it into windowed view, and then when it freezes you go to your task manager and close it out, then go back in, rejoin the game and you shouldn't have any more freezes, you have to do this every time you turn your computer off, and I have to when I put it into sleep mode too. This is very annoying honestly...

It's a buggy preferences.xml in your C:\Users\****\AppData\Roaming\Wargaming.net\WorldOfTanks folder if i get the bug, I just delete it and it works again, going to try setting the file to read only to see if the game writing something dodgy to the file when you exit the game.

Can confirm that setting the xml to ready only works only downside is you have to enter your password in each time you load the game.

Can confirm in a new system build i7 6900K, 1080 GTX, fresh install of Windows 10 Pro and no mods. That my fix above works and without it the bug still presents itself. Without setting the preferences.xml to read only you will see the xml file almost double in size when you close your WOT client. Normal size is around 8KB after client close it hits almost 20KB.

Its also not only a Windows issue. It happens on my iMac and MacBook Air.

9.15 has been nothing but problems for mac users.

As of the last micropatch, I've had no more problems.  Everything's back to normal

 Same problem here!

What, the same problem like your shooting me in the back, tracking me, pushing me into enemy fire, pushing me sideways to get hit by enemy, then shooting me again and again until I'm dead? It was unprovoked and unsportsmanlike! Is that the same problem you're referring to, you troll?

YOU SHOULD BE PERMA BANNED FROM World of Tanks servers all together!

YOU ARE A TROLL!

YOU SINGLE HANDEDLY LOST THAT MATCH BECAUSE OF YOUR BEHAVIOR.

Anyone experiencing this type of behavior by this player "D_U_S_T_IN_THE_W_I_N_D_" should report him immediately. WOT needs to rid their servers of players who act like this.

Remember this players name D_U_S_T_IN_THE_W_I_N_D_.

If he did this to me, he's doing it to others as well.
