I have a bunch of gold lying around from previous tourneys and need to eventually go down the British TD line. Is the AT15a worth the gold since it is on sale for 4,550 gold? I know it received a buff several patches ago and wouldnt be used for credits mostly just for crew training.

Thank you

tier 5-9 is general cancer, if you enjoy cruising at 20kph max and have a huge weakspot that even tier 7s can pen. then sure, go ahead and grab it

If you dont mind trudging, with a great rof.  It is essentially the same tier 5-8 of that line and the 15a is no exception, slow, obvious weakspot, great rof and pen.

I think it is, yes. It can soak up damage and (even without reserves or daily bonuses) can earn exp fast. I got my AT-15A crew to 100% in 2.5 weeks with only x2 exp bonus. If you use it as a simple wall then trust me, as an almost-professional, you'll be there in no time at all

Armor still looks tougher than the AT-15.

I like it; great ROF, decent armor and the best part you actually make some coin with this TD.

It's fun to play in a platoon (3).

Yes, it's one of my best performing, unicum wn8 farming monsters.  Now with the buffs, it's arguably an even better tank than the AT7 even if it didn't have pref mm.  But it does, so all the better.

The fact that you can angle a TD with that insane all-around armor and huge gun arc always cracks me up.  Certainly pushes the armor values of this thing even higher.

Now you can't respond to threats for sht, so you'd best be platooning with some mobile pref Vii's for maximum effectiveness.  E25, T23E3, war crimes panther all work for this purpose.  Just avoid a pure At15a platoon because it won't end well.

AT15A is basically an AT8's gun, with AT15's armor & speed. I never bought it until WG decided to give it Preferred MM because it sucked donkey pecker with tier 9's. (but since WG said recently they will no longer make tanks with no preferred MM, I will no longer buy prem tanks).
