This is horrible news, how can we reverse this decision?

If you are reading this please post in this thread and express your dissatisfaction about this decision, open up a ticket, talk to people, etc.

The only way they reverse this decision or bring back weekday warefare, skirms, weekend warrior, stand tos in August is if enough people complain, otherwise they will continue to float test balloons and if not enough people express outrage they will go forward with their plan to phase out the regular tournaments.

Well done wg no more weekday warfare? Talk about killing yet another competitive part of the game that actually had decent payouts.

I strongly disagree with getting rid of these tournaments, I find a large group of us enjoy these weekly tournaments. It's one of the main things I play for anyhow, same with most of my clan. I for one would be very disappointed were you to actually get rid of this wonderful part of the game.

I just started playing the tournaments and really enjoy the 4vs4 tier 6. It's a shame if these won't be around anymore.

If you wanted to cut the gold payouts just say it. Shuckin and jiving around the issue isnt doing players any favors.

This.

I've spent enough, more than enough on this game, and now that I get to earn some free gold prizes, you take it away?

Big downer, and takes the wind out of my sails. Great way to ruin enthusiasm.

Don't you think you've lost enough players the last time this kind of thing was done?

Quit letting accountants run your management.

I don't really have anything to say that hasn't already been said.

Terrible decision.

If this is about streamlining the whole tournament scheduling then that's cool as there are many many options now. If it's about giving out too much gold, well, business is business. The 1v1 tournaments and the 1 day only tournaments I think are best to keep around as they provide the most flexibility to a player to participate in.  One thing about the 1v1 or any tournament though is that they should implement a penalty system just like they do in clan wars for a team no showing but in this case implement a penalty for individual players that no show (perhaps 3 or 5 rankings of penalties that last for 2 weeks from less payout in all tournaments to being banned from participating in tournaments for a specified amount of time, say 1 week or whatever).  This will reduce the no show problem that happens in tournaments with randomly formed teams and 1v1 teams. It will help ensure those that sign up actually participate. I do also enjoy the multi day tournaments (and the late night tournaments are good since most people work during the day anyhow) but eliminating a lot of the overlapping tournament times would be cool I think.  Anyways looking forward to seeing how this works.

Hi guys!

I have updated the eSports calendar for July, and want to make sure that everyone understands what's happening.

So, what's happening? Community tournaments are taking a different direction starting the last week of June and into July. There will be fewer tournaments run and they will no longer happen every day.

Why? This will allow us to focus on the tournaments that are running. Having one large tournament should allow us to better hype that tournament...and maybe do some cool things, like spotlighting the winning team in an article.

Sadly, this means that some of our favorite tournaments, like the Skirmish, Weekday Warfare and Weekend Warrior, will no longer be happening in July. Others, like the Call to Arms for clans and the 1v1 Throwdown will continue.

During July, there will be two new tournaments added, the Platournaments and the Summer Play tournament at the end of the month.

That's what's happening. Feel free to discussion our July tournaments and ask any questions here. Disagreements and constructive feedback are fine, but make sure to keep it civil.

How else did you think this was going to go down? Did you think people would actually be excited about this?

RIP gold income for those who still had it and I Do Not Like hyped up tournaments where only a few get anything. I always preferred the old formats and payouts that allowed people a better chance of earning gold even if their team didn't get off to a good start. It was good while it lasted but one day tournaments and other stuff just turns people off.

To be honest I think WarGaming is making a huge mistake. Yes they will be saving money on all the gold they give out, however they will drive out many of their players due to this. Maybe they should not take out all of the tournaments, that we have right now. They should put it to where there is a weekday warfare or something every 2 weeks or so. This is what I think that they are doing. And this isn't going to be good in my opinion.

This is a very sad day for me because the only reason I continue to play this game is because of Weekday Warfare and Weekly Skirmishes. If they're gotten rid of permanently then I'm gonna end up quitting this game as my main reason for sticking around is gone.

I used to play for Clan Wars and then WG ruined Clan Wars, so whats left after this? Endless pubs? No thanks, been there done that.
