It's time for the Light Throwdown! This weekend, grab your favorite tier VII Light tank and head to the battlefield! Players will face off in an epic 1v1 clash on Mittengard for gold and glory!!

Joining a tournament and earning a prize is easier than ever! In the Light Throwdown, single-player teams are split into groups, with each group having no more than 10 teams. Facing all other teams in their group, the best tier VII light tank commander will earn the 1st place prize - a cool 500 gold! If you're not at the top of the pack, don't worry, players will earn gold all the way to 7th place!

Stop by, sign up and join the competition!

Tournament Information

  • Team size: 1
  • Map: Mittengard
  • Max tier allowed: 7
  • ONLY lights allowed

Looking for even more of a challenge? Check out our the Stand-To tournaments on Tuesday and Thursday featuring tier IV tanks - you can sign up as a complete team or sign up individually! If you sign up as a solo player you will be assigned to a team. Our eSports calendar also has all our upcoming tournaments - take a look and find the right fit for you!

Run into a player that brought something other than a light tank? Send in a dispute immediately after the tournament ends and we will adjust the scores. Please not, you must include all of the requested information when you submit your dispute!

Prizes

  • A player will only receive a prize if they won at least one battle during the tournament.
  • Prizes are awarded to players as quickly as possible.
  • It can take up to 7 days after the tournament has concluded before players are credited with their prize.
  • If it has been more than seven days OR if there is a problem with the prize, please contact tournaments@wargamingamerica.com.

Would probably be better off playing the bulldog with the single-shot gun instead of autoloader, that way you can rush the other player and kill them before they even load the clip.

I didn't even consider that.  Autoloader bullydoge's will be left wanting on such a small map.

Hmmm, I wonder how a WZ-131 will fare again the bulldogs, I just acquired it.

Being an LT noob, would the 13 75 be worth it? Its the only tier 7 I've got.

It is the worst tier 7 light tank, and especially on that map. The 13 75 has awful gun elevation, if the enemy stays up on the hill you are literally unable to shoot back.

LTTB is a better Bulldog killer in general because its armor is super troll against it. BUT the WZ is super tiny and has good angling so I suspect it would do well (or at least COULD do well) with the 85mm 1 vs 1. T71 could also be a sneaky play against them all because its clip loads so much quicker and can one clip all lights involved if penning (900 burst).

'm not sure the SP 1 C nor the AMX 13 75 could do much but maybe in the right hands...

If you want a 13 75 that is even worse :P

Same problems with gun elevation, and it doesn't have the burst to 1 clip anything.

You'd be better off with WZ or LTTB if you betting on rushing down the autoloaders.

Just read the fine print and not allowed to name team here.

I hope the guy does not still get 1st place even if I win the dispute. He is 6 points ahead of me and I am in 2nd (which I should be 1st)

I just submitted a dispute. Does it matter to much that the tourney is still going on?

Nope. Disputes won't be processed until after the tournament is finished (likely the next time I am in the office).

using is-2

I will send in dispute later

FYI RULES say to NOT post info about disputes on forum!

You may have nixed your dispute.

I had two cheaters in my group one in a T29 the other in a T-43.

Why can't WarGaming stop these cheater-trolls from using wrong tanks?

Two such in my group one in a T29 the other in a T-43.

You can make the system restrict the tier, but not class of tank?!   Please, please work on this.

It would certainly cut down on your workload to make disqualifications which both of the above *should* be,

Especially since the T29 won the whole group without a single loss.  He used HE and ammo racked me.

I've already made two disputes.   But this is a lot of work that I and other rule abiding players should not have to do after every tournament.
