Besides the fact that that thread stirred up over 150 responses in under an hour it is just another example of why this game is going in the dirt. http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/505563-now-i-finally-have-proof/page__st__140#topmost

I would not brag about responses that were making fun of you for being a complete [edited]ter.

Both these player types are what WG needs to reach out to.  Better tutorials explaining game mechanics and how they differ from other games would help significantly.

^..I have a great suggestion/solution for that problem, but strangely, WG keeps ignoring it...not sure why..?

Why do people automatically assume that people are leaving in droves because of the game rather than real life issues?

Certainly some people leave the game because of various reasons ranging from being fed up with some aspect of the game, or just because they've lost interest in it.

But I would imagine that far more people leave because of a change in lifestyle.

I rarely play anymore because of a real life issue. But I'm not upset about the game.

How many people who used to play, no longer are able to find time for it because of work/school/family?

Why don't you add some real life choices to your poll?

What if I asked it like this:

What aspects of this game are driving people away?

My question relates to the game, I don't really care if people are leaving due to a baby or new job.

The loosing streaks and the HORRIFIC MM just push the players away. There also is a huge problem with mods. they need to just go away or integrated into the game with nothing else allowed.

The player base.

The lack of action to punish anti social behaviour is what is driving people away in droves.

How does this affect stacked teams and losing streaks? I've been on a losing streak (sharp trend) all day, many times the enemy team is loaded with G, Chai, Otter, Claws etc. In fact one game had 4 of those clans in it. How does having a better grasp of game mechanics deal with the obvious losing streak problem?

Long and ridiculous losing streaks are the worst part of the game for me. Honestly, that was what turned me off the game completely. *Now, [when I do play...which I admit isn't often..] if I lose more than 3 battles in a row, I quit and log out. And yes, I do try my hardest in each and every battle.. and I never give up, but I just don't have the patience or the stomach for the 'gaming S&M' anymore.

I fly in another game which will go unmentioned.  Do pretty good. 6-7 losses in a row is a lot in that game.  The game balance is just better.  I win enough so when I hit "play" I don't cringe in fear as to what the hell is gonna happen. Playing solo in pubs in this game is crazy too much of the time.  So I just play and try to do my best and try and maintain my sanity.  What's left of it.

Quick glance at this post..... and yes a link to the newcomers forum has merit....

But many of these new players don't want to sit around and read - they want to play.

When I first started, there was a tutorial that led me though various aspects of the game.  When I completed those, I received (what is now called) a M3 Light - with a 100% crew.

A better tutorial, that led a new player through specific game mechanics, including crew, angling, spotting and tank roles would help at LEAST a third of the player base.

What if I asked it like this:

What aspects of this game are driving people away?

My question relates to the game, I don't really care if people are leaving due to a baby or new job.

But those are the people who are truly affecting the overall population.

All things change, no one is able to sit in front of their computers and play games for 16 hours a day forever.

The people you are talking about get fed up, uninstall, play a far worse game for a few months and then return.

This cycle continues almost forever.

The single biggest loss of players is because of lifestyle and simply because they have lost interest in it.

And there is little to nothing that WG can do about that.

One of the biggest complaints I see from the active player base is "newb teams", which in turn cause blowout battles and in turn losing streaks.

But if the game is to survive, these new players must keep coming into the game.

I don't see this as an issue.  I have never had a bad losing streak, not the way most tin-foil-hat wearers talk about it.  Teams can be stacked both ways.

The mm is fine.  There is no significant way to make it better.  Explaining to the masses why things are the way they are is a better though process.

The rest of your thoughts are significant only to you all that thinks there is some kind of major problem.  There is not one.  Other than those feeding in to the thought that there is a major problem.

^..Yep, and I could never understand the fascination with those silly stat-siggy things...:D

*It's kinda like if some students of mine decided to glue their report cards to their chin and walk around the hallways of our school. And don't get me wrong, I wouldn't stop them, but staff councellors would definitely start asking some questions...

:D
