Roller coaster weekend but I finished strong.

Started out with the misery that was grinding the IS-M.... I'm not sure I've hated another tank in the game as much as it. It literally has no redeeming quality other than side-scraping.... and plenty of other normal tanks can side-scrape almost as well.

But with a little help from the Scavenger Hunt XP I'm done with it and now have my first Tier 9 heavy.

Posted Image

Played a few battles in it... still getting used to it but it much less frustrating to play than the IS-M.

I also took advantage of the Xp conversion and crew training discounts to convert a huge amount free Xp and retrain some crews.

Picked up the Black Prince (having skipped the Churchill VII) to start pushing towards the Super Conqueror. Not too bad for a 1st battle in a tank. Doesn't seem too terrible if you pack plenty of gold rounds.... should only take me about a week to grind to the Caernarvon.

Picked up the Tier 7 French heavy as well but haven't played it yet.

And lastly some fun games.

My first High Caliber in my T30, a hugely fun game in my Somua SM (which included me sneaking up behind the Vk 75.01 and dumping an entire drum into his backside) and my best battle ever in my Cromwell B..... which I hadn't played for a long time and decided to take for a spin now that I'm a bit better with medium tanks.

GGs Guys!  So envious.  I am just hoping to get the WGC P2P issue sorted out for me.  Haven't had a battle since 22 October.  I think I might be going through withdrawal -- I've taken to playing my old SSI Panzer General just for a small 'fix.'  At least I get to damage SOMETHING pixelated, even if it's only strategic level play.

I think I'm going to like this tank. 390 alpha, not bad platform in terms of speed and armour? Feels good. Includes a ridiculous pen on a British AT TD. Admittedly, this is likely Wargaming or RNG compensating for me losing two battles in this tank horrendously. As in, maybe 1/2 shot of damage per battle for those two. But, hey, I'm not complaining. Plus I completed HT-15, which is good. Didn't even notice.

http://wotreplays.eu...-el_01-p_43_bis (Confederate, High Calibre)

My highest score in the P.43 Bis so far. Enjoying the alpha damage but the gun is trollish, in this battle and others. I didn't do damage to the T5 Leopard twice, one being a bounce off basically the side. I definitely didn't react properly towards the end, should have rushed the base defense earlier, but then again, our Hellcat was very slow to go from their camping position to base. Still could have carried that though, all the enemy tanks were fairly low HP and I had a decent chunk left.

Very nice work :great:

That poor, poor little Churchill.... pinging away with its little pop-gun to no avail.

Tonight I had my first "good" battle in the Object 705,

So far I've enjoyed the tank.... but for the most part it hasn't been smooth sailing.... I can't believe the arty and HEAT spam this tank attracts. I would have thought that when driving my T95 or T30 that I would have been #1 on the Red team's s***-list but compared to this tank I feel positively neglected in them...

This was my first battle in the tank after upgrading to the second turret.... which boosts the HP to 2000 along with boosting the turret traverse and view range. It also seems to buff the soft stats on the gun because suddenly I was able to snap shot much better. Armor seems to be hit or miss but considering I have a .91 armor use efficiency in the tank maybe I'm doing better than I think....

Not a great game for sure, but more of cautionary tale.  This was an assault on Erlenberg.  Their green and purple platoon completely rolled up the eastern flank in the first few minutes of the game.  But, forgetting they were on defence, they continued to push.  Meanwhile, on the other flank, a few teammates and I went almost unopposed to the flag, killed the camping arties and proceeded to cap out before the other team could counter attack.  They got twice as many kills as we did, and far more total damage, but still lost because they lost track of the objective of the game.  And, yes, lots of moaning in chat about rigged games etcetera, making the win all the more delicious.  I was top of my team for experience, with the lowest base experience I think I have ever gotten in a win while still being top of the table.  Their EBR got more experience than I did, even in a loss.

That was one of those games, M.A.N.  My Alecto game was such a cautionary tale as well.

I honestly cannot believe that the other team in that match I had did what they did.  They literally allowed the last 2 TDs on our team to take out over half their team at the end and at one point it was 2 against 6, there was no way they should have lost -- and yet they did.  That T67 on my team made a huge difference and capitalized on my spots when they happened.  (Curse you, bad ping!  Curse You).

I showed that game as a replay simply to prove to some folks that you CAN come back from a huge deficit in a game IF you can keep your head and stay on mission.  My performance was NOT stellar in that game, however I thought the Match itself was worth showing in the same manner as yours.  Not something for ME to brag about, not by a long shot.

My first good battle in my new Renegade.

Posted Image

I ground a really nice discount on this one and then got tired of seeing them so I went ahead and snagged mine. Lots of ups and downs trying to the hang of this tank. Turret is very trolly at range and very tough up close if you can hide the cupola... the gun is very accurate if you let it aim with good alpha and great ROF for a heavy.... but rush the shot and it will troll you hard. Obviously some players are doing exceptionally well in the tank since nearly 3k damage and 4 kills is only good for a Class 3 mastery.

Having a terrible run with teammates who have broken W keys as well.... had 8 base campers in one battle tonight.... looking forward to this marathon being over.

My 600th battle.

http://wotreplays.eu...ided-vk_30_01_d

Definitely a fair bit of luck in this one, but all in all I feel I did rather well.  I didn't rush into the brawl where my vk30.01D would've suffered, and I flexed out to the flank to support the KV-85.  We did some heavy lifting and won.  I did, however, make a mistake in chasing the T50. particularly in a manner that left me super exposed, but I didn't want to leave our scout on his own against it, especially when he'd been doing such an admirable job of scouring the field for enemies.

Tier 6/5, 5 kills, 1000ish damage.

Opened 75 Christmas Boxes and 75 New Years boxes. This is by far the cheapest way to buy gold - and you get some goodies too if you are lucky. My 150 boxes netted the E75TS (three times), the Obj 703 II, Bret Panther, Pz. III K, AM39 Gendron Somua, Sexton I, all 6 of the 3D skins, 103,450 Gold (including gold from duplicate prem tanks - I already had Progetto 46), 8.4M credits, 99 premium days, and a crap load or ornaments.  103,450 Gold worth $413.80 so yeah - just for the gold alone this is a deal.

Today, given the propensity of holiday season teams to be quite mediocre, I managed to bounce damage in the ARL 44. More than I previously did. How? Beats me, but the VK 36.01 thought they could pen the front hull of the ARL 44 (the only part with armour against low-ish pen guns) without aiming. Great job.

http://wotreplays.eu...-el_01-p_43_bis

My new highest score in the P.43 Bis. Still not very good, but it's fine. Didn't know the Bishop had such a high shell arc, will have to keep that in mind, got nuked for the majority of my hitpoints through a series of shots while hiding behind a building. Hmm.

Already up to Atmosphere level 3 and not that far from 4. I just want a few crew members and some blueprints, since I was able to unlock the 45TP for free using the Polish ones and I'll be able to do the entire Tier 8 once I get more universals. The ONE time I get nationals (which I usually don't get) I need universals, whereas I normally want nationals but don't get them, instead having a ton of universals. -_-.

Also kind of want the skins, since I'm a cheap person and don't want to pay the credits, and so I've been moving the four or so I have around. That's a long grind though, not sure if I'll have the time during my winter break.

This is my 1st post on the forum. I didn't want to post anything until I had read all the way through this topic. It took me a while. I don't have much to brag about since I am a generally tomato type player. Over the last 2 months I have been steadily getting better. My overall win rate has gone from about 42 to almost 44.5 with a recent winrate of almost 48. My wn8 has gone from about 192 to 303 with a recent wn8 of 649. Most of my improvement can be attributed to Dunniteowls mantra and the wot guides posted on this part of the forum. The turn around came when I followed, I believe it was, Skorpians advice about how to equip my Jumbo. I try to follow advice I hear here and other places.

With that said, I would like to present something that surprised me yesterday. I am terrible in arty but I did do this.

It just seemed that everyone was just asking me to blap them. In the end I was killed by the hummel after I shotgunned the vk that was coming for me. I forgot to move and got distracted by trying to get the hummel but he got his shot off 1st.

I. was afraid to play another game in my arty because I didn't want to go through the let down that usually follows a good game. Finally I gave in and had the following game. Nothing spectacular but I did one-mark my M41-HMC. Which is a big deal for me.

I just learned how to screen shot images and post them here so there is not much for me to post. I did have this game in my T29:
