I was going to say "If the Brits would learn to drive on the proper side of the road they would not have these problems" then post a video of British dash cam wrecks. However, those videos have some words spoken that, while not a problem for anyone else who would post those videos, would get me in trouble.

You would think they would pick a different dimension to travel through since the current one is filled to the brim with demons. If my scifi ftl knowledge serves me correctly dimensional travel ala the wh universe is done on multiple levels with each higher dimensional level allowing for faster relative travel between points. Skip the demon infested one for a slower lane if need be but then a huge plot device get wrecked. Guess everyone uses the 'plot device' not just star trek.

aye. but it wouldnt be grimdark then.

40k is so epic because everything is so insanely dangerous/ difficult.

if it was as easy as star wars or star trek.  it would be seen as pansy difficulty

and odd thing is.....40k does have the "light speed/hyper space" travel of star trek and Star Wars.      its used by the Tau.    but its so slow compared to warp travel (i wonder if this confirms that 40k's galaxy is a larger one than star wars.......huh...might explain the imperial guard's size).    and for an empire the size of the Imperium, this means that the dangerous warp is the only way to get places across the galaxy in time.
