The 18th Anniversary tournament is a multi-day tournament running from August 15th through August 28th. Teams of five will fight their way through three days of group stage, with the top 64 teams moving on to one of two, 32-team single elimination playoff brackets! The winner of each playoff will face off in a special Champion vs. Champion round, with the ultimate champion walking away with some cool special prizes!

 eww, eleven days of not being able to not play if you get unlucky. Literally the same problem of the soccer tourney.

All teams play the first week. Which means it's just one week off from having any multi-day tournaments (the 1 day tournaments alternate days with the 18th Anniversary).

 

I've considered adding another Weekly 5v5 during Week 2 for the teams that have been eliminated, but haven't decided on that yet.

Why are these new tournies so long? If this is the only thing you are doing just have it run 1 week. Mon-Wed is Group stage and Thursday-Sun is Tournament Bracket. There is no reason for these to last so long.

Our team did "ok" in the summer play tourney.  Little did we know that "ok" meant if you lost just THREE games you were out.  I mean for 98% of the players we were cannon fodder.  NO chance at winning.  We are not the top of the top or will we ever be.  This tourney just does not present the opportunity for gain. 

 

Thank you for all that you do but the clan "Happy" respectfully bows out.

The team I was on lost one legitimate battle, one because we didn't read the rules and one because a couple of our people didn't show up. If we hadn't had those two screw ups, we would have been in the gold.

If you didn't consistently land in the alpha bracket of how they used to do the week long tourneys then this one will be a waste of time.  Its really sad the way that these tourneys are going, for the 1 day team ones, now called Platournament the gold reward was reduced by 40% and the time increased by a half hour (roughly) and the week long ones were changed to the useless round robin only.  That was a total waste of time, put in 7.5 hours for 3 bucks worth of gold AND after the first night, have the joy of waiting 10+ min in-between battles because the bottom 50% just stopped showing.

Its really sad the directions tourneys are going   Please go back to the skirmish and stand-to formats!!!  Those were great, not too long to do, a worth while amount of gold for your time and effort.  Loved them!

Seems WG is doing everything they can to reduce the amount of "free" gold you can get, first with the on-track events now with tournaments.  Guess WG reallys want everyone to pay cash for their 'free' game. Come on, if you want to make credits past tier 7 you have to have premium now! It's sickening. It's not the tankers fault that planes and warships failed, please stop trying to recoup your lost profits through tankers wallets.

And who actually cares about the boosters?  Those aren't rewards, they are a waste of space and my time.  I don't usually sit down and grind hours away so I never use them.

but what did you get?, NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

We missed a couple shots and got set on fire and drove the wrong way and rammed a tank and so we didn't get anything either, LOL.

You are not  listed in Gosu.  Please post a link to your team so we can verify how many games you lost.  IM just curious.  It's not that I don't believe you or anything.

WG gives out less gold if they stretch each tourney out over 2-weeks and that is the goal here, less gold paid-out.
