Greetings tankers!

We've sorted out our issues with the forum points, and everyone should now have a clean slate. We'll be switching over to the new policy in a couple of hours - 15:00 Pacific/18:00 Eastern.

We've reformatted the Rules page in an effort to make it easier to locate things. There are some additional explanations in the spoilers, but the rules themselves have not changed.

http://forum.worldof...13-forum-rules/

Remember that if you disagree with a warning or strike, you can file a support ticket to have it reviewed. All of the moderators have been through training, but we're all human so mistakes are possible.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

That's pretty neat. In just 4 days they go from "No strike or warning can be overturned" to, if you want to challenge it please submit a ticket to have it reviewed.

Funny how WG says things, then immediately changes them when they finally see that it won't work.

I still think the whole " strikes are permanent " is a stupid idea.

Be that as it may, i never saw anything stating that "no strike or warning can be overturned" ...

Everything I read from the get-go said that strikes could be challenged through Customer Spt.

Not letting those strikes roll-off is a bit draconian, though.

they stated "all strikes and warnings are final" which basically states that they are final. Usually when something is final that means that it can't be changed.

I do not believe that is correct.

F.A.Q. will be continuously updated as more questions come in.

I don't want to lose my account because players gang up and report me. Will this happen?

No one will be banned based on reports only. Reports must be verified on our end with chat logs, replays, screenshots, or game logs in order to result in a strike. If you aren't getting banned currently, and are doing nothing wrong, then you won't be banned in the new system if you continue to do nothing wrong.

How does this affect the automated TK system already in place?

The automated TK system is not affected by the new policy - penalties and sanctions issued by the automated system do not count as strikes. The new policy affects chat, and other EULA violations that get reported in game, and only affects bans that are manually placed by WG staff.

How do you handle players who report someone for a post that they just don't like?

We do a full investigation into the reports, spamming the report system is also against the rules. No one will be banned strictly based on reports. Reports must be verified on our end with chat logs, replays, screenshots, or game logs in order to result in a strike.

If I get a point and I do not agree with the reason, how to I file an appeal?

If you feel you have been sanctioned unfairly, you may appeal via a ticket to support, and they will perform an investigation into the matter.

Are players notified of their warnings?

Yes, you will receive a notification of your strikes via email for in-game or forum message for forums. This will include the reason you got your strike.

If I'm in game and say something for the sake of blowing off steam, will I get a strike?

If you are given a warning for this, it means it was reported and determined to break our in game rules. These rules have not changed.

When this program gets rolled out, myself and with the help of Nyx will be looking at the reports and strikes to see if anything is unfair, or heavy handed. If we find any that are we will look into reversing the strike. If anyone gets a strike they feel is unfair, please let me know and we will look into it. Not all strikes will get reversed, but this announcement is to inform everyone of what we are doing to make sure that the moderation is consistent and fair.

Hopefully we'll see a clamp down on alts and troll accounts.  :3

But what we really need to see reduced is suiciding, TK's, indirect TK's, and other instances of where the rules setup for the game are just so bad that any player can break them without breaking them.

If you feel that you earned a strike that is unfair, you are free to appeal through a ticket to support

Rip, all of schniztel's accounts died...

wargaming, can you please just give me all 5 and a forum/chat ban right now. It's practically inevitable it'll happen anyways so might as well save yourselves the trouble and get it over with.

I'm quite sure you can carry on being blunt with peeps.  WG just wanted a system in place to get rid of  (with 4 chances to change) repeat , "high end" offenders.   And I don't mind that at all.

This stuff is in the game and a strike policy isnt going to stop this,

Only way to stop it is REMOVE IT FROM THE GAME

Untill they do this all these things will carry on
