wthis this still happening? Why cant these imcompetent idiots that make this game FIX errors?

To fix, delete your world of tanks folder in the appdata folder.

C: -> users -> (user name) -> appdata -> roaming -> wargaming.net -> delete world of tanks folder

Tried that, didn't help, still crashing randomly and consistently. :(

Did seem to get better on a clean install.  Then added Aslains modpack with minimal options.  Still no problems.  Added a set of tank icons and the crashing/restarting started again.  Removed the icons and so far I'm 6 games in a row with no problems.

Mine has not just been crashing the game, but the entire computer. I had to clear CMOS to get it to boot. It just started happening in the last few weeks. Only when playing WOT, it has happened 3 or 4 times now. I uninstalled the game, deleted WOT folder, then reinstalled. Reset BIOS overclocking to defaults, still having problems. I do use Aslains mod pack, but none of the "graphical mods", Mostly XVM and sight distance in minimap.

Looks like it might have been a failing Video card, unless the game killed it.... Got new one on order, I'll post if it happens again with new card.

What version of Aslains Mod Pack are you running?

Is it [Aslains_XVM_Mod_v.9.16_03]?

It has stopped with 9.16.  So there you have it.

Whatever the latest one was at that time. I am using an old temp video card at the moment. When I get the replacement, if I have any trouble, I'll uninstall Aslain's Mod Pack and see if that helps. Either way, I'll post here about it.

I was just having crashing issues with this latest release.

Not just the game crashing, my whole computer was stuck in a frozen state with Wot looping sounds, forcing me to sign out through Ctrl+Alt+Delete. (Windows 10)

My guess is it's the HD graphics mode since once I switched to Standard I haven't had a crash yet.

I was having no issues on my iMac when running the 9.16 HD client with Improved graphics in a window [2xxx x 1xxx - cannot remember and I have since deleted the MS Windows partition as the WoT Mac Wrapper now runs without issue with the 9.16 compatibility update] under MS Windows 10 Pro [64-bit] at 2560x1440 billions of colors.  My iMac has a 4GB AMD Radeon R9 M395x discrete card so it is probably your video card.

Are you using an integrated or discrete card?

I'm using a discrete card.

I'm good now though, game still hasn't crashed again.

Please post the specifications of the discrete graphics card - e.g. 4GB AMD Radeon R9 M395x - so others with that card can try to apply what worked for you if they are experiencing the same issue[s].

I've been having the exact same issue since patch 9.15.  It's getting very annoying.

I uninstalled the game and downloaded it again.  Encountered the same issue with no mods.

Each time this occurs I get an information report from windows followed by an application hang error.  I hope wargaming is aware of the issue and are working on it.  A response in this thread would be nice.

Yep, no problems whatsoever till 9.15. Then I get the same guaranteed one crash per game session.

So the update to the 9.16 client still has not solved the crashing issue?

Same issue here...seems like a fun game, when it's not crashing...but I'm spending more time reloading the game than playing, just about. Might just have to shelve it for a year or two, maybe it'll be fixed then. ...not holding my breath though, seeing how old an issue it is...
War thunder is such a bad game...and armored warfare is dead...and world of tanks is broken...
So sad. :(

Have you updated your mods?

There was a micro patch a couple days back that wiped out the 9.15.1 res_mod folder.

Nothing to do with mods..Widely reported issue thats up to WG to correct.First they have to take responsibility.I dont run mods.

Exactly the same issue in every way. Since 9.15 with or without mods. Uninstalled/reinstalled after every patch and still the same thing.

Either crash and self reboots loading into battle and sometimes leaving battle at least once a night.

Funny it seems like after the game does it once it's made it's point and doesn't do it again till next session.

I only started having this issue with the most recent patch (9.18). I run no mods at all. Anyone come across a fix for this yet? One thing I notice is that it only happens when I am loading into a battle, hasn't happened in garage or during battle. Also, it will automatically reload the game when it CTD's, but I lose the ability to interact with chat and the mini map completely until I restart. This includes typing messages as well as things like "T" targeting or F5's "Affirmative" response. If I don't exit and restart the game manually, the game doesn't crash again, but if I do restart it, it seems to crash again within a few matches. Any help would be appreciated here, I run:

Win10 64 pro

I7-6700K

Asus Formula 8 Z170

32G DDR4

EVGA 980ti

Game is installed and running on a Samsung 850 Evo SSD (not my boot drive)

The 9.18 client and the subsequent micro-patches are very sensitive to MODs that are not up-to-date.  Just applying the micro-patch could make a MOD not up-to-date.

If you are running MODs then I recommend that you check with the MOD provider to see if there is an update.  If you are running up-to-date MODs then try playing game in [SAFE] mode - which disables all MODs.  If the game plays fine then there is something wrong with the res_mods folder.

If you are not running MODs - try running [SETTINGS] [SUPPORT] [CHECK] which will check and repair game integrity.  This worked for me when I installed 9.17.1 MODs on the 9.18 client [I know - should have paid more attention] and those MODs modified a folder so the game would not launch.

Hope this helps ...
