Just a question, I am a member of a smaller Clan, we sometimes struggle to get 7 players together for tier 6 strong holds, what would people think of a 5v5 tier 5 strong hold? you would not earn as many bricks,But it would help some smaller clans get some traction and build there strong holds, Would it not also help in showing other members of the clan the benefits of doing strong holds ?

NO. As it is 7v7 is already not enough players in my opinion. Tier 6 stronks (and even 8s) discourages people from getting tier 10s (remember the days where all CW was 10), and they're simply not as fun. If your clan can't get enough activity for a tier 6 then one of 2 things are happening:

1. You're in an inactive clan

2. Your clan is full of tomatoes and doesn't know how/want to play

I suggest that you move to a more active clan if you want to get even semi-serious about the game.

And concerning the 5v5 - only baddie clans would play it anyway and it would just take away from the game (and now that I said that WG will implement it).

You have a few more members in your clan than I do and I can understand where you are coming from.  I could see your idea helping some of the younger/smaller clans.

Another idea you could push to your clan is to liquidate and join another clan in a merger.

OR

Recruit more players.

OR

Talk to another clan to see if they'd be willing to run some 5 vs 5 Skirmishes in Team Training just for fun.

Maybe you could start with small man tournaments such as the 3v3 platournaments or the 5v5 weekly tournaments. you will get the basics of team mechanics as you would in tier 6 strongholds, potential to win gold to help improve your gameplay and it requires a smaller number of players than the 7+ that you want for strongholds. Also, your callers can get some experience in reading the map with your current players and building map strategies for enemy tank compositions and your teams strengths.

We have been doing the 3v3 with some real success, but getting 5v5 to show up over week has had it's challengers (like herding cats some days) maybe some 5v5 one day tournaments might be the answer ?

Kick and recruit actives. Simple. If my clan couldn't even get 7 people online to do a simple t6 SH.. why stay?

My initial reaction is no. It would be too much like the tier 6 meta, with Chaffee's and M7's replacing the fastbois of tier 6, and the smaller team size pushing even harder for fast tanks that can flex...

In general, I see the tourneys as a good idea for your clan. But wasn't there a tier 4 tank company thing back a while ago?

With legionnaires, you only need two clan members to do a T6 skirmish, and plenty of players are looking to legionnaire.
