Is it worth it to buy a premium tank like a Lowe? What are the advantages to doing so?

Premium tanks have a higher credit income than standard tanks - I can't remember the exact numbers, but should be around 15-25% more credits?

And worth it? It depends though - some premium tanks are quite good, like the Pz 38H and Lowe; fun to use in battles and also helps with the credit income. Some, like the T14, doesn't do so good, but it still generate good credits.

The credit increase over a Tier 5 is around 70% I believe. I would check, but the database seems to be down.

All premium tanks make more credits than normal tanks of the same tier, and they're cheap to repair, too.

The thing with the Lowe is that it just makes SO MUCH MONEY.  All premiums are profitable, but the Lowe is an ATM on treads.

What everyone has mentioned. Personally I could not find it in me to pay $60 for some virtual item like a Lowe. So far I have come around 3 in matchmaking today. They are pretty good. Not better than fully upgraded heavies of the same class though.

Sounds good, Would a lower lvl tank like the Pz 38H make the same amount as the Lowe?

Short answer:  No.

Longer answer:  Premium tanks will generally earn you more than a normal tank of the same tier.   Since the Lowe is high tier and has a huge gun, it's the current cash king.

I like to crosstrain crews as crews of the same class vehicle do not take the performance hit on a premium vehicle.

Its also the reigning gold pit! @ 12k gold you need to be a skilled driver to make it pay for itself.  I bought the KV-5 (only 7.5k gold) just for that reason... I might not make 100k credits per match, but I can easily pull in 50k to 75k on a losing match if I make all my shots count!  My best XP so far on the KV-5 was over 4k.

The question wasn't "do other premium tanks make money".  It was "Does X make as much as Y".

I don't dispute that a good KV5 driver can make money.   But if you have an equally good Lowe driver, the Lowe will make more money than the KV5.

if or when you get tier 9/10 tanks in your garage you will eventually have to buy a high tier premium or grind a crap load of battles with your best elite regualr tank. a destroyed tier 9 heavy tank cost ~18k to repair and each round of ammo you fire costs ~3k per shot. that plus consumables can make a loss cost you alot of credits.

its also nice to not have to worry about having money for equipment like a rammer, i have a rammer on just about every tank in my gargage.

A premium tank is nice for credit but people will make fun of you and hurt your feelings.  Every time I play a game in my Churchill people call me "wallet warrior" or "Churfail".  I cry and tell my mommy but she says that I'm 27 and should take it like a man.

But yeah.  The best time was when a Lowe driver called me a wallet warrior.  I can appreciate some irony now and then.
