No, Luch will rip everything apart with it rapid fire gun of death. T28E F30 is fine but it is a herd beast. It needs meat shields

Not in toilet bowl. That map is all about speed and ROF. Luchs will run wild.

Well the hetzer can bounce quite a few rounds from the front, and it can 1shot the luchs. Depends if the luchs gets behind the hetzer or not.

Yeah that is a good point but that map really favors speed over cammo. I wish I could watch. Hetz vrs Luch on that map might be interesting.

Last tier IV tourney I played, I used my DW2 and didn't lose at all. The extra hitpoints combined with the great DPM proved to be too much in a close area like the Toilet Bowl.

For those of you singing the praises of the Luchs, congratulations, you have successfully identified the second best tank for this tournament :)

And what would be the best?

Covenanter with bofors beats the Luchs 1v1, and most anything else below 400 HP, but the HEATzer is nearly impossible to deal with for anything that it can one-shot.  The traverse is just too high, you have to catch it completely unaware and looking the wrong way.  Camo sniping it from the start position is actually the best way, but the autocannon lights are going to have problems penning it at that range.

Block Quote

True that can 2 shot basically everything.

It can't kill any non-TD unless it high rolls, even a Luchs needs 3 shots on average and it won't live to get three shots off against the autocannon lights.  Matilda is better if you want a heavier tank since it can sidescrape a Hetzer.  B1 can actually do okay too, but nobody sane keeps a B1 around.

I obviously can't tell you that (but I will say I am undefeated with it at Tier IV 1v1's) :)

Curious what it is, but I can say the same for my DW2. When playing it in tier 4 tourneys I haven't lost.

i just generally think of the dw2 as a fun tank to screw around in low tiers. Hadn't occurred to me it might be good in a 1v1 t4 tournament, I'll see how it goes :)

Marder 38T or Hetzer would be my choice. :)
