Why? So you can claim I'm misinterpreting you deliberately misinterpreting me? I bet you gaslight the hell out of your family.

Actually, its a fair request ... in both Science and conventional debate, if one brings up a point that is disagreed upon, its common for there to be a counter request for clarification.  This is done to set proper focus and alignment to addressing a statement under contention.  This practice is used commonly to filter out and minimize unfounded generalizations from creeping into an debate to subtly affect the emotional atmosphere surrounding the exchange.

Ah, now to topic ...

In no particular order (since I can't live by one iconic movie alone) ...

Kingdom of Heaven

Gladiator

Original Star Wars trilogy

DarkStar

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Saving Private Ryan

Ben Hur (original)

Sound of Music

My Fair Lady

The King and I (original) with Yul Brynner

The list goes on .....

.... ohhhh, almost forgot ... The Last Samurai ... despite the cliches, I thought Tom pulled it off, and Ken Watanabe should have won the Oscar ....

I like anything with Jimmy Stewart (original Flight of the Phoenix, and Strategic Air Command because he was an actual combat bomber pilot and because B36).  Also Vertigo and Rear Window.  He is still my favorite actor.

The original Magnificent 7 is hard to beat as well, although the new one is ok.

I will also watch just about any John Wayne movie at any time.

Guess I am getting old?

^..Interesting choice of words.

Do you realize you just created a meta-pun..? {A pun within a pun}  ...and was that intended..?

Personally, I've always preferred a good parody:

Another one of my personal favourites... Always puts me in good mood.

I know this isn't a movie, but I always loved this old TV series:

It ran for many seasons on our local channel.

Anyone else out there remember this one..?

I've always loved this classic movie: The Neverending Story.

It has so much wonderful imagination, and is so well written.

*On second thought, I won't recommend it to our forum members {a few in particular}. It just has waaaay too much imagination and creativity. Obviously more than some can handle. A few of our members here might try to "demand proof and evidence of the existence of a Luck Dragon"...and the whole point of the movie would be lost on them.

...

Oh well. Their loss.

*Oh, and on that topic of imagination...

This is another one of my absolute best personal favourite movies of all time:

Rest in peace, Mr. Wilder
