its due to the distance between both coasts in the US

West have less than ideal ping on east and vice versa.

they have a similar set up for the RU and EU servers.

ideally they would put 1 central US server. and idk why they don't for WoT (i think they did for WoWS)

A Central US server is a great idea. Make it happen WG. You can do it, we know you can.

And that best location wont be central US since that would make it worse for south american players which are one big percentage of the NA playerbase

Since asia server sucks I play Na. On average I get about 170ish ping on west and 250ish ping on east. Merging server would really suck for us players across the globe

False. Most of all south American is routed through Dallas TX   it's the central hub.    If internet users would do research most would find that there routing to the wot Na servers is the cause of there high ping  , and changing to the shorter route.    You would be surprised how many players internet sends them off continent then back to the wotNa server lol

They are thinking about it... but it's a hardware / physical location issue where not everyone would have the needed ping rate and such... They are looking into moving the servers to a new location where there could be one server and where everyone could connect well.

Wargaming is working on a central server. The real problem is finding a spot that offers the fewest hops for both coasts. The Internet infrastructure in NA is horrendous, and the country is so large, so it's not an easy task.

The NA east serve is in Chicago, the West is in California. Maybe move it to Omaha,  WG will need better resources in ISP than what they currently have though.

Last I knew East was in D.C. And the old central server was in Chicago.  KC would be good.

Combine the two NA servers into one and centralize it ...

Send the left-over server equipment to Brasilia ... :sceptic:

Everyone Wins ! :)

Use traceroute  and ping plotter  if these shows you anything  questionable  you can contact your ISP if they are great with customer service they can assist you.  You may have to change your internet service provider  to get better ping  .  PS be sure to have the wot ip address handy you will need it  they are posted above

Actually I'm in the East and the ping on the East Coast server is horrible. I prefer playing on the West server. A lot less people but a very good ping and no lag. Even the EU server has better ping than the East server... and no lag whatsoever.

The country is so large? NA is not a country. NA includes 23 countries and 22 dependencies at this time.
