I got a trip to Hohenfels did some training there, funny how the training co-incident with Oct fest...  I have a few photos of that glorious time... I choose not to share those as it may incriminate me at a later date.

The US hosts were amazing!  Such a good trip.

:honoring:

That's awesome, I'm glad you had a good time there and that we were good hosts ;)  What training were you there for?  I remember going there in the dead of winter and peak of summer, it was where we'd go maneuver and Graf was where we'd go to fire.

If I may be so bold... I think I speak on behalf of the veteran's here that we'll grant you a waiver on any incriminating pics of good cheer with US military on this auspicious occasion

Ghost, I was thinking, since I am friends with Photoshop, I wonder if I could just put my head onto some hardcore army or marine vet and enter the contest?

It was an ABCA exercise, so there maybe several people here who were involved at that time.

NZA does this newspaper thing.  Here is the article from the time:

Text is poor due to photobucket.  Link attached, please see page 20 (the rest of the paper is not much fun).

Another highlight for me was a lunch with the reporter who wrote the article above.  Classic reporter, very hot.

Love this thread. Every year I dust off my old album. Ft. Bliss 1993. This picture was taken right after a desert rain. Not a cloud in the sky for weeks until I have to go play army. Didn't matter where I went it always rained. Hats off to all of you. Garryowen!

One of my first times in the field in Korea we were setting up op/lp for a week. It started raining on the first night and didn't quit until a few hours before we had to hump back. I dug out a pair of dry boots and socks wrapped up in a trash bag in the bottom of my ruck sack. Was saving them just for the trip. Within 2 minutes we had to wade through waste deep water.

Me and my crew working on M1A1 tank back in the mid 90's.  They always need what we call "love", which means safety wire and a wrench.

Older pic from the last furlough we had.  My platoon sergeant found it particularly funny.

Spoiler

For context, I was in the National Guard and at the time of the picture was a civilian technician for the guard.  The furlough made me take a week off, if memory serves properly.

Let me clarify: I do not fight in the war in the Falkland Islands, but had been an honor to serve my country. Publish the photo because it's worth remembering all fallen in battle and those who killed themselves after. Malvinas Argentinas
