Here's some examples of negative gameplay advantages from the third category. Players found using them will be penalized:

  • Alerting you when spotted vehicles are reloading, including displaying an enemy's reloading timer
  • Auto-aim, or “aimbots” that provide more functionality than the “aim lock” in the vanilla client, specifically those that aim at the enemy's weak spots or automatically lead the aim so the offending player can focus on maneuvering their tank

i know alot of mods used the rough 100% crew reload time. wonder if they consider that illegal? if so alot of 7 day bans going around

The old policy was specific about which reload timers were allowed and which weren't.  This policy makes no specifications and says just reload timers. That would mean all are illegal.

"appear" being key word here.  From that explanation, I do NOT see auto-aim + being illegal.  We NEED CLARIFICATION.  How hard is it to come out and say "This mod is illegal" or "it is not"?

For all the mods that are out there, pretty hard and time consuming.

It would be nice if they noted a lot of the grey area mods

But then you just get into "well, you said autoaim+ was banned but this mod I am using is enhancedaimX, so why am I being punished?"

Guess what if u don't know then just don't use them. That will clear everything up.

They should be. Several patches ago, I tried out the base 100% crew reload. All it really did was mess with my timing during peeking and I stopped paying attention to tanks shooting.

As for autoaim+, that should have been either absorbed into the client or declared illegal much sooner. It is so much more useful than vanilla.

Autoaim+ though just allows an easier lock onto the tank. still aims at the same place as the vanilla client.

From the sounds they are are talking about the lead mods which lets be honest you can do easier w/o

Any auto aim or aim bot that has more  functionality over the  vanilla auto aim is now  considered an advantage and hint  illegal     all people have to do is read

There's a giant thread on this already, don't drag it into multiple threads because you have a crusade against it.

that provide more functionality than the “aim lock” in the vanilla client

sure it doesnt lead targets for you but its more functional than the vanilla autoaim, since you dont even have to be looking at the damned tank to autoaim it.

tfw teals think it doesnt provide an advantage

AutoAim+ is a notoriously confusing mod. They didn't have to specifically name it (like as you said, someone would just rename it), all they had to do was put specific language in banning what it does in such a way as to be clear: i.e. something like "Any mod that allows the user to "lock-on" to a tank without specifically clicking within the red outline of a visible tank."

Sorry but I saw nothing but vagueness on the auto aim bit. They didn't say aa+ was illegal, just mods that lead the target etc.

We just need a moderator with a set to come out and simply say yes or no.

I wanted to specifically highlight these 2 since a lot of people use them.  I am not on a crusade, I just wanted clarification and now that we have some, I actually don't want people using them now to get a ban because they don't know this.

Also with an upcoming campaign I'm sure clans want to make sure they don't get hit with violations that could screw them out of reward tanks.

Just memorize your reload in relation to other tanks, it's not that hard. Arty reloads in about 30+ seconds.

"now that we have some [clarification]"

Lol. Right. Pretty much any person reading the new policy is just as confused as before. Some would argue that it is not "clarification", it is quite the opposite.
