Attack/defence mode in a 1v1?  Hmm, this could turn out very interesting or very bad.

So basically it will be an IS-3/gold tank fest.

How will the attacker ever win? The defender only needs one interrupt.

Exactly.

Using this game mode for a 1v1 is BEYOND retarded.

Get 1 reset then run like hell. Come back and reset with 10 seconds left.

IMPOSSIBLE to lose defense if you have at least 2 brain cells to rub together.

Are you sure, if you pressed the ready button. Sometimes, we accidentally forget to press ready , or some hit space bar which can unready, could be cause for what happened.

If that was not what happened, you can raise a ticket

go to tourney page, under regulation section, look at disputes.

either way contact them and let them know what happened, and see how they respond. If you have any sort of evidence might be helpful

wish you luck :)

Ya this mode is biased for defenders to win, they can bring a light tank, no need to fight, outspot, reset and run away

Also I get 4 defenses, but 5 attacks... while other members in bracket get 5 defenses, and 4 attacks.

I also received a technical loss EVEN THOUGH I was readied up with an IS-3.

Not enough of a crutch to make me attack more often? I have to get [edited] out of one of my defenses for absolutely no reason, even when I am readied up green.

And FYI i have 4 defenses and 5 attack too, and i am facing best players in my group, all of them, when i am attacking

I'm damned annoyed.

First, I didn't notice that this battle was anything other than the usual Standard Encounter battle. I've entered dozens of these 1v1's and have long since stop reading the details because they've all been identical. At the least WG should have put a great big, attention-getting, "FORMAT HAS CHANGED" to draw attention to this fact.

Second, the format is called Attack/Defense, so obviously Side 1 in the battle schedule's listing is the attacker -- right? No, stupid friggin WG have to do that backwards again, so I took a defensive tank (LT) into an attacking game, and lost.

Third, once I did get into a cap on an attacking battle, I discovered that I didn't have enough time left to cap, because the friggin counter doesn't give me 1 capture point per second! Why the hell wasn't that highlighted in the tournament overview?

Once I figured out what was going on, the results were automatic. Defense = win, attack - loss.

Damned stupid tournament damned badly explain.

and not just a slight advantage

Best defender = Light tank = 1 or 2 resets and run like mad

Only way to beat a light tank defending? Bring your own light tank to hunt him down.

Then when you bring a light to attack expecting a light to be defending... it is a freaking IS-3. Good luck capping. And if he knows you will try to outspot and snipe him, he'll just park in a secluded corner so you have to cap and he can come blast you...

That part was ok for me, schedule showed i was on one side for 4 battles and other side for 5 ,, first 4 i was defending, and when my name changed to other side in schedule, i was attacking

And you are right, it takes 2 minutes to cap in a 5 min game and approx, 1 min to get to cap. so if they reset once with less than 2 min left and run away, the attacker is at a serious disadvantage.

Ahh what can i say , all is fair in love and war :)

This isn't love and war.

This is a game where the devs spent a large amount of time trying to create balance.

And no matter how you look at it, 4 defenses and 5 attacks is not balanced... they should have limited it to 9 man brackets so there was 4 defense and 4 attack. At least that part would be balanced.

Now they have put more mm and rng into tourneys. you get attacking on strong players, u will surely lose. they dont even have to be strong, if u dont rush to cap, u cant cap later on as 1 min travel to cap and 2 min to complete cap, one reset or if u hesitate, u lose. while attacker can camp, come in at nick of time and reset once and win.

5 min to hunt an attacker in a big map is impossible, if he is camping

and yes, the first prize winner in my group faced all good players , when he was defending and so got first.

ya probably thats no where close to balanced

If i had faced him and i was defending, would have had a good advantage and easy win

Its like D-Day Normandy landing, but difference is only 1 guy on hill and only 1 guy lands , easy to guess the result now most of the time , isnt it

When blue players attacking can't beat tomatoes defending......

It isn't balanced at all....

The guy who defeated me when i was attacking , just because i had to fast cap in open to lure him out, faced the same fate next round and perished.

That feels so good

cant stop laughing at all

Now he knows, how he defeated me
