However, it only shows if I zoomed in the mouse wheel. Otherwise, zoomed out, I only see the default skin. Am I doing something wrong? I have tried some settings on the NVidia DDS plug-in but still the same. And I've already followed the videos found on YouTube.

Opened the main DDS file using Photoshop CS6

Created a new layer, opacity 100%

Imported jpeg and or png file as the tank skin

Did some adjustments for it to "fit"

Flatten image

Saved As DDS with same original name

Copied and pasted to the appropriate res_mod folder

And the custom skin only shows when I zoom in using the mouse wheel.

its been a while since i messed with it, they are probably using more than one skin, one zoomed and one normal, i have noticed a few skins having kind of the same problem when zooming in or out, so i quit using the older skins, havent checked any new ones, but maybe download a skin that is just uploaded and see if there is more than one file for different distances.

You may be running the HD version of the game client, and only updating one of the files. You will have two texture files of the same name. Both have to be in the folder you want the skin in. The "HD" one will have it in the title of the file, and the other will not. Both images need to be updated with the same image.
