Arent you cheerful!
Give it some time.
The first wave was limited, to ensure a minimum of mistakes.
252 people received a ban, and over 1,700 were disqualified from the Top Tanker event.
I'd say it is a pretty good start.
Can't wait to see what the second wave will look like.

Here is a question to the devs but I don't know if they will answer.
Are you catching players with cheats with your new fair play system?
Is it working to your liking?
Are there a lot of cheaters caught? Yes or no.

Still no answer from the devs.
Sort of like the Canadian government.
Send me your tax money we know what is best for you,
It is too complicated you would not understand.

We have published the information about the first wave on the portal. The system works, so the answer is yes.

there are 3 of us at my house that play, my account since 2011. i never used to add mods at all. as the game changed it has become so laggy for me and the other 2 that we simply cannot aim in most situations without the use of aa+. so when an update comes out we have to wait for the mod to be updated to play.
so i guess we're done with tanks very sad. for the loss of a hugely enjoyable pass time and the thousands of dollars invested.
i have never understood why a mod that is available for free to anyone to use would be considered an advantage.

So this is what I gather from all the posts on this topic. @GhostPrime please correct me if I am wrong and please fill in the blanks...
Dead White/Grey Tanks - Legal
BattleAssist - Legal
AA+ - Illegal
2D HitSkins - Under Review (i.e. Legal for now)
3D Hitskins - Illigal
Any Reload Indicator - Illegal
Damaged Received Panel - Legal as long as it does not indicate Player name
Visual Mods such as Reticles - Legal
Visual Mods that alter/remove terrain - Illegal
Visual Mods that make terrain features more visible such as indistructable objects or train cars - ???
Directional Hit Indicators (Red Arrows) - Legal
Zoom Out - Legal
Zoom in beyond vanilla - Illegal
MiniMap mods that Show Last known Location - Legal
MiniMap Mods that show direction - Illegal
Garage Mods (Carousel, Armour Skins etc.) - Legal
Safe Shot - Legal
Tank Info Panels (penetration numbers of an enemy gun, the armor for the front/side/rear armor and the weight) - Legal
I am not sure if i am missing any popular mods that are out there.
But I think the players would like to finally get a clear answer of what is allowed and what isn't, rather then these vague guidelines that have been plaguing this issue for way to long.
In addition, seeing the amount of ongoing confusion on this issue I personally believe a three strike Policy rather then two would be more appropriate, with the first one being a simple warning or 1 day ban. Along with at a minimal explanation of what the player did wrong.
There just isn't enough clarity to just outright ban a huge group of your main player base.

pretty sure the
Mini map mod that shows last known is classified as Illegal
I think I read it in one of the things WG posted around the Top tanker thing.
I rarely run mods, every now and again run a few just before a big patch then don't run with mods for a long while.
now I'm mod less again and either way doesn't bother me or effect my game play since I run little things like XVM

Here's some examples of negative gameplay advantages from the third category. Players found using them will be penalized:
- Revealing the positions of enemies in a way not included in the vanilla client. Marking objects destroyed on the map and minimap in real-time by altering the display of shell flight tracers or calculating the position of enemy artillery with tracers and marking them, as well as those that keep spotted vehicles displayed, even when not aiming at them
- Making it easier to block an enemy’s shell by indicating their exact aiming point (for example, with a laser beam)
- Alerting you when spotted vehicles are reloading, including displaying an enemy's reloading timer
- Auto-aim, or “aimbots” that provide more functionality than the “aim lock” in the vanilla client, specifically those that aim at the enemy's weak spots or automatically lead the aim so the offending player can focus on maneuvering their tank
- Enabling automatic use of non-Premium consumables
- Aiding in finding enemies by letting you adjust the transparency of objects on the map
- Leaving “ghosts” of enemy vehicles on the battlefield where they were last detected
- Any direct alteration of the physical properties, performance characteristics, or effects of any vehicle or object in the game, or otherwise subverting the game rules

Last known location is part of the vanilla client, if you don't have it on your minimap then you are doing yourself a dis-service. It's there along with range circles, etc...

First time posting here - I don't see any other way of reaching out to Wargaming.
Dear Wargaming,
I'm greatly disappointed in your change in policy banning auto aim mods which in the past were not considered illegal.
Before using the mod I was careful to search online to ensure there were no official posts that it was illegal only to find
that you've now changed the rules. I consider this unfair.
I've been using this mod for most of 2016 and have no interest in re-learning how to play parts of the game in which I'm used to
engaging auto aim while the cursor is near a target without it being directly on the target.
I will not be paying for anything else in this game until your in game auto aim is improved or this mod is considered legal again.
Sincerely,
asc
ps - Your initial posting online giving examples of which modes were illegal did not list this as an example.
So I didn't even realize there was a new ruling until this new patch came out and I can no longer find the mod
.
Truly sloppy.
