I started to become interested in making visual mods for World of Tanks. So, as a result, you'll probably see me add some mods here from time to time. With that stated, let's get started with what you came here for.

T25/2 Stock Gun Muzzle Brake on Upgraded Turret

Instead of trying to explain this one, it'll be easier to just give you the screenshots.

Thank you very much. I always spell that wrong for some reason.

Thanks! Also, please let me know if there are any problems so I can fix them (Marks of Excellence). I personally don't have any marks on the vehicle, so I can't check to see if there are any problems with it.

My next project, for the sake of learning which shaders should be used for HD Models, is converting the M3 LL to an HD model using the American M3 as a base. So far, its going well. At this point, all I have left to do is tweak the shaders and mess with the script file (both of which may be linked together).

Here's some screenshots (remember that this is an unfinished product):

You don't really need to mess with anything shader related in the visual_processed file. Changing the file path to the textures should be enough.

There are a few things in the XML you need to copy over in each section.

<Hull>

<exhaust>

<emblemSlots>

<camouflage>

<Chassis>

<traces>

<tracks>

<wheels>

<drivingWheels>

<AODecals>

<groundNodes>

<splineDesc>

<trackNodes>

<trackThickness>

<Turret>

<emblemSlots>

<camouflage>

<Gun>

<camouflage>

<emblemSlots>

The blue ones are not present in a non-HD vehicle and need to be added in. They are needed for the independent suspension and segmented tracks to work.

Thank you for your help! I would've never guessed that those lines wouldn't have been there on non-HD tanks. I've been skimming through the XML looking for the pieces that I've needed, so I didn't really notice that those weren't there. I'll copy those over from the American M3 Stuart, and hopefully someone in my little group of friends has the Russian M3 LL so I can test it to see how it looks.

As for the shaders, they just didn't seem... shiny enough, for a lack of better terms. Maybe it was just the garage that I was using though. I'll take another look in the normal garage tonight.

After about 2 hours of trying to figure out the cause of a CTD, I just gave up and deleted everything except the turret and gun files (as I knew those weren't the cause), and started over from scratch. After about 2 1/2 more hours of working at it, here's what I've come up with (most of the time was spent trying to figure out why the turret textures looked horrible, even with the HD version.)

Picture

By chance, you wouldn't happen to know why the machine gun is red like that, would you? I couldn't figure it out. Tried swapping textures, and anything else that I could think of, but to no avail. Other than the machine gun, though, I'd say I'm happy with the progress. Once again, thank you for letting me use the files from your Jackson remodel! You're a cool cat!

Aww crap that's due to the old equipment textures being removed. Now I remember why I didn't release my Jackson remodel. Your best bet would be just to use the normal Turret_02 of the Hellcat for now. I'll probably have time after 9.17 to fix that turret model.

That's okay. For now, since I have the 9.13 client sitting on my dad's computer (glad I didn't delete that), I can just copy those over from the 9.13 client. I'll post an update screenie as soon as I'm done. Thanks for your help! :)

Update!

The equipment textures are working now that I imported them from the 9.13 client. So, at this point, all that's left is to adjust the emblems and inscriptions. The positions of those are in the script file for the tank, right? These lines:

Miniature Text Wall

Also, can't forget those screenshots I promised. Here is the T25/2 in the current configuration that it is in my garage (Top Turret, Stock Gun)

Update!

All models have been updated for 0.9.17.0.1!

And, yes, there's more than just one model! You just don't know about it yet. As of now, the M3 LL and T25/2 HD models are both on hold due to difficulties. In the meantime, I will be updating with another remodel soon. Bring out your nostalgia hats, because this next one will hopefully hit you all right in the nostalgia glands!
