I have just recently had hand surgery and can now only play with one hand.  I can play arti but I can't manage the other tanks.

Why does world of tanks have a golden joystick award when you can't use a joy stick to play?

Also what would be a good arti?  I have the us m44 at this time.  What would be another good one to play.

Thanks for your help

Don't play till you can play with more then 1 hand..... the golden joysticks award isn't just for joystick games, just like the Stanley cup isn't won by a sport that uses a cup.... 10/10 one of stupid posts ive seen in a while

if you have 1 hand, i'd suggest looking into one of those mouses with the 12 key (3x4) keypad on the side (where you thumb normally rests)

you can map the movement keys to the 8,2,4,and 6 keys.   and map the scope mode to the middle mouse button.

i've seen someone do that before.

and i'd suggest bert,  the tier 6 french(cause everything above the hull is module only dmg. no hp.  surprisingly fun. like a elc arty when u get up to them point blank)

and the tier 4 german one with a turret

Really?!?  OP has only 5264 games and asked, from what I can tell, a sincere question. Your reply is one of the more dip**** obnoxious posts I have seen in awhile.

To the OP; from what I have read on these forums: No a joystick will not work.  Godspeed in your recovery.

This is the best answer here.  I know a player with only one arm who I made this same suggestion to.  He bought such a mouse, but gave up on playing the game with it out of laziness to put the effort in on learning a new system.  The mouse works just fine at his place of work, but he found playing the game too fast.  It will come with practice and effort to teach your thumb to do alone what another hand on the keyboard normally would.  The one piece of advice I would give you is take it in steps.  Make the keys do what is comfortable for you.

Edit:  You didn't mention which hand is disabled, but these mice are available in left or right, and the good ones will have a little ridge on the 2 and 8 buttons (like the F and J keys on a keyboard) for your thumb to find by feel.

Bert requires plenty of movement.

Maybe you could find like a oversized keyboard or just a number pad keyboard an put it on the floor and get good with your big toes. You really only need the four arrow keys. So maybe you could make shift some pedals. Haha if you go this route please share pics cause it would be awesome.

There are mice with programmable buttons you can use, but playing one handed will not be as good as using both hands no matter what.  Good luck.  Maybe time to take a break?

Only? At an average of 5 mins per battle, that's 439 hours of playing time, or a little more then 18 straight days. How has he not figure this stuff out? Seriously, grow some skin.

You can try a mouse with a lot of buttons and program the buttons to work for driving/consumables/etc.

There are voice control programs that apparently lots of disabled veterans use. I mean you could use something like that, but you'd be at such a disadvantage to your team that your burden would lose you well over 50 percent of your games.

My wife is Irish.  After being married to her for twenty years, my skin is like rawhide.  OP was looking for some practical technical advice and you responded very negatively.

Have you considered a Nostromo http://www.belkin.com/us/support-search?search=nostromo+n52

Or one of the other similar products like the Razer Tartarus http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-tartarus-chroma
