I have severe Parkinson's and use the Naga, I have to change alot of keybinds, and my stats suffer, but at least I can have fun with a game I enjoy.  I have basically no use of my left arm/hand.

I have one hand. I have my right hand on the mouse and my left arm on arrow keys to drive. I am missing my left hand to my left elbow

Now that I think about it. It would be cool to use a joy stick to drive around

I have just recently had hand surgery and can now only play with one hand.  I can play arti but I can't manage the other tanks.

Why does world of tanks have a golden joystick award when you can't use a joy stick to play?

Also what would be a good arti?  I have the us m44 at this time.  What would be another good one to play.

Thanks for your help

There is a " mouse " out there that has all the buttons you need on it. Meaning the WSAD keys, but if a remember correctly its not cheap.

Lemme try and find a link for you.

You can buy a multiple button computer mouse. Here's one on Amazon as an example. https://www.amazon.c...le button mouse

Hope this helps :)

OP,

I don't  know if this would help but I work in an industry that caters to people with disabilities, from Veterans to little kids . I know you are temporarily affected but this post of yours should have been better replied to.

This is the best answer here.  I know a player with only one arm who I made this same suggestion to.  He bought such a mouse, but gave up on playing the game with it out of laziness to put the effort in on learning a new system.  The mouse works just fine at his place of work, but he found playing the game too fast.  It will come with practice and effort to teach your thumb to do alone what another hand on the keyboard normally would.  The one piece of advice I would give you is take it in steps.  Make the keys do what is comfortable for you.

Edit:  You didn't mention which hand is disabled, but these mice are available in left or right, and the good ones will have a little ridge on the 2 and 8 buttons (like the F and J keys on a keyboard) for your thumb to find by feel.

Yes the multi button mouse is a good option. You can also tweak the settings to change some of the sensitivity controls if you find it to fast/slow.

Good luck if you try it :)

not sure how you'd even play arty one-handed.  I guess if you don't move, or if you slave a bunch of things to mouse buttons...

actually wouldn't world of warships lend itself better to playing one-handed?

A mouse with extra buttons is probably the best way to play with one hand. I think the SteelSeries Sensei RAW is a good mouse for this game because of its buttons on both sides, perfect for steering the tank. https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Sensei-Laser-Gaming-Rubberized/dp/B007N6HS3G#

The only problem with that mouse is it doesn't have alot of buttons, you still need to use a keyboard for chat, consumables, and team commands. If you prefer minimal use of the keyboard, something with more buttons like the Razer Naga would probably be best.

Don't overlook the possibility of foot pedals.  I have two hands and am considering getting a set.

There are several assisted keyboard threads.

The search terms are a little bit hard to use so you have to be somewhat persistant. I'll see what I can find

Everyone who needs this kind of assistance has a unique set of requirements so it's hard to generalize

I found that most people had to go through a rather large assortment of specialized keyboards mice and accessory keyboards before they found something that worked for them

Joysticks appear impossible with the way the game is currently set up

Most everything you try won't work so you've got to keep trying

A standard keyboard with key remapping work better for me  after a lot of trial and error and several hundred dollars worth of experimentation

TO TANKER62: Hi,would like to say that almost three years ago I had a serious stroke which damaged left side of my body (could move but insufficiently hand, arm and leg), and at that time I got 26k games so far and already reached VII-VIII tier tanks. It was a big struggle for me to survive from stroke and recover but I am still playing with my right hand, mostly arties and sometimes hevs and mids so I remapped arrow keys for movement and use my healthy right hand for mouse and shoot. Sometime ago tried to use programmable mouse but got lazy to adjust it to my play style so mostly playing SPGs and what a surprise (!) no one still can not guess that I am playing one-handed!!! And even wrangle me in a game chat that I am not so quick enough to respond the fire and when I am telling them that i play with one hand only they dont believe it! My suggestion is to remap arrow keys for moves and play with right hand if it is healthy but inventing joystick by WG would be a big weal for those like you and me, man! Keep on going, man! My most stats go for EU server where I began to fight, recently I got TopGun playing Hummel (6 kills), so I played even better than those with two healthy hands!
