I have a question, when a person leaves a clan I know they keep their fame points, if the person in question joins another clan, does that clan get the equivalent fame points that the person has received?

I know this sounds pretty stupid but I was looking through the fame point leader board for clans and the lowest clan fame point requirement to get gold is 41k. I was wondering if say _Sheep the player with the highest amount of fame points were to leave R-7 and create his own clan with just him, would the system consider his one man clan to have 53,829 points? That would place his clan in 33rd for clan fame points which would give him 34,500 gold.

Just a late night (1 AM for me and studying for another final tomorrow) question I randomly came up with. It obviously doesn't make sense and his fame points wouldn't transfer over, but what if it did? Then the top 3 in personal fame points could make their own clans at the end of the campaign and get gold along with their tank :D

I don't think so. The fame points don't leave the clan when the players leaves. His new clan would start with zero fame points, even though he would have 53k.

And here's another thing to consider: Once he joins another clan, his battle count will also drop to zero, making him ineligible for the tank (you need 15 battles).

No.

There are personal fame points and clan fame points - the two are completely separate.

You get the same number of clan fame as a player in the battle gets personal fame. This happens at the time of the battle, and is not linked to any of the 7/10/15 players or their fame, and they do not "possess" any of that clan fame at any point. The numbers are simply identical.

Can we get clarification on this. Does one need to get another "15" battles with the new clan even though they have enough points?

Yes. I changed clans between Tier 6 and Tier 8 during this campaign and my battle count reset to zero once I was in the new clan.

You need 15 to qualify for a license, if in a top 15 clan. If you qualified via fame points, you don't need an additional 15, you can even be clanless.

This kind of logic is why you are in claws.

If they change clans but have enough fame points to qualify for the tank 1500 rank +whatever the trickle down number is, they do not need to get 15 more battles with the new clan. The 15 battles thing is only applicable if you are counting on the clan license to get your tank (ie your clan is in the top 15 rank). Porkchop is correct, if you have enough points you can drop clan tags and still get your tank.

And No Grav the points do not go with him. WG looks at it as personal fame points and clan fame points right from the beginning. So when we win a battle, the individual does get their points and the clan gets the same amount as well, as Clan points. Clan points do not transfer.
