And your Overmatch mechanics rant is just ridiculous lol. 1) because the angle of pen was increased up to 76 degrees it actually made it EASIER to pen the weak tops of low profile tanks while the non-3x overmatch made it more difficult to overmatch the taller tanks (like Tiger II et al). The Obj 140 was one of the tanks shown to be weaker based on the new overmatch rules. and 2) they cancelled the overmatch part of the update anyways you tool so stop being a b!tch and chill out.

The patch notes state the gun depression on the VK28.01 will be increased to -10 degrees, but mine all ready has -10. Am I missing something here?

It should -  the 9.17 Test Client has been up and running on OS X since early Nov 2016.  The last post to that thread was 28 Nov 2016 - http://forum.worldof...st__120#topmost

 

The only major issue is that the client defaulted to Russian when installing. 

 

I recommend that you download the Studly Utility - look for a post from dstud208 [the link is in his signature] in the WoT Mac Wrapper Forum.  The Studly Utility allows you to address multiple issues - e.g. disable Torrents - all within one app with a click or two.  Something that WinTel users do not have.  

 

I think we should be thinking about whether the 9.17 Client will break for some WinTel users - they certainly seem to have a lot of issues with the current client based on the number of posts to the Forums ...

Meh. What do I know? Just an average player with no outside mods who has played my KV-1 damn near to death. One thing I have noticed is that the Tier 5-7 games, most Tier 5's are lucky to get off a couple of shots before they die. You shoot, mostly your shots bounce or cause no damage even using the 122mm...and then you die. Once in a while you get lucky on a kill.
So it goes, as Kurt Vonnegut once said. (over and over) :)
I will still play the game though, even though I am a classic example of WOT player mediocrity. I've always thought that WOT should establish only FIVE game matchup levels and play would go through the roof. What levels?
 
 

Imagine a WOT world divided by twos ONLY. Battles set up this way:  Tier 1-2 only, Tier 3-4 only, Tier 5-6 only, etc.

Hi all,

 The one thing that points to me that most gamers have no clue about programming is in, how can we fix MM? It is a mathmatical line of code. We hit battle and enter a que, then we get sorted by the number of the tank we are, then the numbers between the 2 sides are compared and VIOLA battle time. So we have platoons of purples in obj140s and t62as, 3 or 4 platoons of greens in t110e5s, couple purple GCs and on the other side staring in blank horror 3 platoons of tier 8 gold tank driven by 125 wn8 reds. couple orange and a greenie or 2. YIKES. So if it is math,(and it is), then the wn8 value would be part of the string that says its me(waves) orange wn8 982, grille15. So do you wnt to trouble a line by saying that the sides have to be equal? How hard would it be? It wouldnt be hard at all. WG has already patented a algorithm for wins versus loss over a time period. It would be so easy to set the code to look at platoons of reds in gold tanks and say let them all play against each other. 14 1/2 minutes of nothing, camping in the same spots the do on all the maps. let them do it. It is pure horsehockey when people say they cant do it.

The servers will be down for a few more hours yet they did say 6 hours downtime although that is rarely the case its usually between 3 to 4 hours they are down

What?   No "kudos" for the additional "improved" mini maps? :confused:

 

They are disgusting... again.  :(    mono-chrome, HD?  How is an "improvement"?  They are becoming borderline useless & certainly take away from the aesthetics.  They don't look like ANY map i'v ever used, as a tank commander or a civilian.

 

What moron middle manager started "improving" them?  :facepalm:   Do they save WG server time/power?  Rendering?  Are they supposed increase fps for slower computers/players?   Why/What is the motivation to DEGRADE an essential part of the battle interface/info-providing?

 

Am i missing sumthing here?  Isn't there any1 else that finds them anything but an "improvement"?   Ya'll are focusing (obsessing?) on individual tanks & small tweaks. 

The mini maps messing around affects game play & usability for EVERY battle, in ANY vehicle, for ALL tiers

Are all of U happy/content/accepting with these grossly morphed & degraded vital part of the interface? :amazed:

#3) May I ask what the hell difference Arty one-shooting a tank moving at ANY speed has anything to do with anything?  This is an arcade game.  In order for arty to be IN the game, you have to completely rework the laws of physics, especially gravity, in order for artillery to even be used at all.  Artillery firing at the angles shown in game would cover kilometers, not meters.  As it is, the muzzle velocity in this arcade game for the SLOWEST SPG is still many times faster than even the Ru 251's fastest-in-game-speed of 80km/h.  There are a whole host of issues that would have to be reworked before we could even change arty given the game engine.

#4) Sarcasm aside, the new premium tanks may give one person better access to better stats, but better stats do NOT translate to more wins, as I, a true and real wallet-warrior, can show.  And yes I realize that the sample size is small, but as with all things, the better a player is, and the better a tank performs, then the more successful the combination would be.  Hence why I would suggest that an IS-3, generally, performs better than a Caernarvon.

#5) and #6) are the same thing.  What is it?  Medically impossible human beings functioning enough to utilize a keyboard and mouse, or computer programs used to AI a tank in circles on fiery salient?

 

Well, I, as a mere noob, would love to know what a vastly more experienced player would do to alleviate all of these problems you allege to exist in game.

 

I await a most fascinating educational experience...

#3 Simple add a option in the game were you can check mark the box to not play with Arty  would probably  stop most of the salt .

Any such option, even for maps, will bork MM even worse than it is and lengthen que time on the NA server - which has the smallest population, diluted further by East/West - it just wouldn't work here.
