Please anyone who has a definitive answer riddle me this:

Do downed trees provide concealment in the same way a bush does?

I have searched far and wide for an answer and have heard every possible answer. PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks :3

They provide camo. It varies on the thickness.

Expect to hear every possible answer again.

My response is: Downed trees do provide concealment.

But the best answer is go to a training room with someone and test for yourself.

They give you limited concealment ...

Concealment is not Cover.
Cover is whatever it is that you hide behind and blocks bullets.

Yes they do provide a camouflage bonus. If you're in a bush with a gap in it (E1 on Prokhorovka, middle ridge in Sand River, etc.) knocking down a tree nearby it can be very useful. Alternatively, if you're in a location with plentiful trees but no viable bushes to use, knock down a few trees ahead of time for future usage. This can be very useful for base defense without getting spotted on maps like Redshire for example, if things fall into play.

My experience has been that they do provide cover like a bush, but its not quite as good. A regular bush gives better concealment than a fallen tree does.

They give reduced cover.
