Game reports pin 15-20, but it feels like 350 or so. Tank reacts to left/right controls with huge latency. Also, at around 00:30 2/13/17 game was unable to connect to the update server. Maybe WG pissed some people off and they are messing with the servers....in any case game is kind of unplayable.

That's probably packet loss, not latency.  Keep an eye on the green/red circle next to ping.  Green is good and Red means packet loss.

^..WoW! Really. So that's what those colours mean.

I was always curious to know what they meant, but I was too afraid to ask...especially around here.

... serb forbid you ask a "stupid question" like that around this place.

After heavy use of PingPlotter I now see that almost all of my connection problems are caused by my ISP, who will take no responsibility for same.  Only gamers care about latency, and they are the sole provider of semi-fast internet where I live (rural, but not cut off from civilization, ha).  When my connections are bad it is because my ping gets over 100 before it leaves Centurylink.  They just give me the runaround.

After reading 10(+) pages of complaints, it is time to give my perspective to the issue:

1. I have been playing from Greece the last 3 years. The good thing is that when I am normally able to play, there are no lag issues (no packet loss whatsoever).

2. My ping is constantly on 240 in a good day. Of course it's my distance to blame, but I can't miss the fun in my NA-clan.

3. There are times that insomnia strikes my door and when this happens it sucks, since the game is practically unresponsive. Last night I had like 3 lagged games, which of course could be random ISP "boo-boo"'s but they seem to be happen only during my WoT sessions. The router log indicates a "ppp0" error (which could be anything, but why only during WoT sessions?

The question is:

Supposing that I have a constantly high ping, how does this affect my team-mates? Do they also get high ping rates due to me, or are they able to play at their normal ping (supposing the servers work fie).

I remember asking support if it's possible to get transfered to the EU server, and the reply was that there are announcements from time-to-time. I am not a regular forum-reader, but I sincerely think that NA is a really crowded server and I would be happy to get back to the EU having lower ping rates and disconnection issues.

WoT does not use P2P matchmaking, so your latency does not affect other players at all.

Could not help noticing a measurable decrease in the ping rate after yesterday's patch. I hope it's not temporary (due to small number of users) but it was around 180-190 and I didn't observe any packet loss during my session.

The freezing is the worst bug. Glad they acknowledge it and are fixing it. It's happened for the last 2 days about 10 times total. Going to try HD and with and without Aslain's. It would be nice to find out what's causes it. But it really looks to be in the game code. It just started after the update. 9.17.1

I use dozens of email addresses via random IPs to give WoT many excellent surveys on Survey Monkey and other survey sites just to counteract all the tinfoil hat conspiracy theory nuts. SO, THERE'S THAT !

How is the "investigation" going?

CLAN WARS ARE UNPLAYABLE

The lag is ridiculous! We had tanks with turrets that could not move, extreme lag throughout.  Please employ software engineers to fix this mess.
