If you have a SSD a quick fix is to close the game and relaunch it.  This will leave you sitting for about 30-45 seconds but it's better than 5 minutes of lagged issues.

NVMe m.2 to work!

Yesterday the ping measurement was "normal" but the gameplay was lagged (everyone was lagging). Never experienced such a thing on WoT (moving around doing "jumps" _). I was playing arty, and managed to hit one target, with all that lag (SU-122A on Mountain Pass, last afternoon).
Team could kill the enemy because used the autoaim (center of mass), because id people manually aimed, the 15 mins will lead to a draw.

I as well experienced all the lag, tanks hovering, couldn't move but tracks were moving, enemies disappearing right in front of me. Lost quite a few battles due to this. Couple times it seemed my whole team experienced it as chat would blow up with "wth's" and "i'm lagging". Was bad.

Seems like most of the comunity is experiencing this.  60% of my battles start with my tank driving around in circles ramming into arty, lights, every tank i can damage.  End up costing me a fortune in allied damage fees.  EXTREMELY frustrating.  I have stopped playing.  I hope WG gives me my premium I payed for back during this problem.

I experienced the lag as well this weekend. Had multiple games where people from green team couldn't move their tanks for awhile. Chat was unaffected. Ping spikes were numerous all weekend. Gun would fire a second after clicking button. Made for frustrating gameplay!

My recent "lag" issues almost two weeks ago were somewhat self-inflicted.  Another popular tanks game had a special on where if you were a founding member and played 5 battles by a certain date in December you would get some free premium tanks.

So I updated the game as I had not played it in almost a year.

The problem is, they have a default setting to continue to "upload after downloading your update" to help others download the game.  The result was almost my entire upstream bandwidth was consumed helping others download.  So when I tried playing WOT, I got ridiculous lag - my tank apparently driving itself with my hands off the keyboard (from stacked commands attempting to drive it while lagging).

TL;DR: Solution - If you play another well-known online tank game check your update/download settings and turn off "continue uploading after download is finished".  Unless you have fabulous interwebs....

Ticket #922564 (on his TK I attached the ping report)

Dear, the first jump do not have it in mind but the Nª 6 jump is where the disconnection occurs and the frequent lags:

  6 126 67 125.89 175.33 129.49 lag-101.ear4.Miami2.Level3.net [4.15.159.233]

It is a layer 3 router (lag-101.ear4.Miami2.Level3.ne) the strange thing is that this started 2 months ago and has been getting worse, this affected all the games of Wargaming, I already had a ticket, you They gave me some solutions that apply, worked well but a week started to happen again and now it is getting worse. Uninstall the games and reinstall them but it does not solve, I discard that it is a local problem. We need to know if it is a routing problem and whether it is possible to investigate what happens to the link provider or whether it is possible to split the routing and alleviate the micro-crash on the NA server.

I live in Argentina and use as a provider Claro with 10Mb of wide bana, I repeat, until two months ago I never had this problem using the same connection.

I'm averaging about 280-350 ping per battle. I've decided to just wait till the issue gets fixed before playing anymore.

Hope it gets resolved soon!

Hello tankers, Just to update you all on the server issues that players have been experiencing; Please know that our Dev team is looking into the potential cause of this issue and we do expect server adjustments to be made to alleviate any lag or packet loss due to this issue. The idea is to roll out fixes very soon so everyone can enjoy the Holiday event.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

I don't live too far from the East Server. My ping is generally 6-27, but in game even with these pings I have been lagging a lot.

Submitted a ticket and WG did send a solution after a diagnostic.

But these problems are back again. Mainly they started at the last Mini Patch of 9.16.

Thank you for looking into the issue, but question, will the Christmas Event time length be extended due to the Lag issue, because a lot of people have not been able to play because of it.

Can't control the tank, constant ping spikes , it's unplayable . Perfect time to get a free 24 hour premium acct. and not be able to use it.

This is funny because I thought my tank was steering weird because of some new thing with 9.17. Just lag spikes.

So is there going to be premium time compensation for this? Game has been basically unplayable for a few days now.

We had a big ice storm Thursday, my internet has been wonky since. I thought it was because of the storm, but today I have been using the university internet and it is just as bad. At times it is unplayable. Middle of a battle, lag spike will hit and boom I'm on the other side of the road in the line of fire. I hope you find a solution quick.
