Is WG gonna fix this issue? I mean, some of us would actually like to play during the Holiday break.

I am on west coast. I run Pingplotter, and it seems to show severe packet loss at every point on the journey.

that made me wana Uninstall this game. Definitely not 9.17 problem, cause more people play this game on holiday. past 20K now30K  but wg server sucks , it cant take so much people . so fix your server quickly or more and more people leave this game.

If it matters at all, I played last night for a few hours (yay Holiday Ops) and never experienced the lag issue. Playing from Canada. East server was fine for me, and when I played West earlier in the day, it was no worse than usual. I typically get around 75 - 80 ping on East, 100 - 110 on West. No unusual rubberbanding or teleporting. 33k players between the two servers last night.

Ive been getting spikes at 5am EST when there's less than 10k on east and west combined.. so I'm skeptical about that thesis.

There is usually no change in your ping for this particular problem, because the lag is on the server. For the vast majority of us, the issue is server lag, not our connections or computers.

Ironically, just before the new patch I had the best connections I have ever had.  I agree that something is weird since 9.17.  1. Very weird freeze frame gameplay.  2. Perceptible delay between input for a turn and the turn of a tank.

I agree, control lag despite decent ping.

9.17 has brought me nothing but problems. It's been unplayable due to rubber-banding, 30 -40 seconds syncing files, and tearing of graphics. After about 6 games I have to restart due to FPS dropping to half and wild ping swings. There is a memory leak and de-synchronization problem for sure. Since I knew that sending in a ticket would do nothing but get a response of it's you not us, I decided to do a full reinstall. This included the following steps: 1) uninstalled WOT via windows uninstall feature. 2) Removed all WOT files and folders including users/*/appdata/Roaming/Wargaming.net. 3) Removed all registry entry's concerning WOT. 4) Ran disk cleanup for 490meg. 5) Updated the following drivers: 1) Nvida display, HD Audio, KillerNetwork drivers. Next adjusted the killer network drivers to get a good score at dslreports.

Spoiler

And finally, I reinstalled and ran vanilla with exactly the same results.

I love this lag, makes it especially fun since it seems to only effect one team at a time, so you get a team that spins around in circles unable to control their tanks and the other just steamrolls them. Its a new feature!

I have also been experiencing the lag issues, but the issue that really bothers me is the FPS problem. I start out playing and my FPS are fine then they dropped to below 20 and finally to around 12 before I quit. I thought maybe it was possible that my desktop computer graphic card was experiencing a problem so I got out my gaming laptop that I only use for my music and installed tanks on it today wanting to see if it had the same problem or not. Sure enough about 2 hours into game play the FPS began to drop until again at around 12 FPS I quit playing. This 9.17 update DEFINITELY has some optimization issues which make the game unplayable after a couple hours of playing. Once the FPS start to go down they will not come back up until you quit playing the game and restart the computer, which concerns me, is this causing an overheating issue like world of warplanes used to do in the early alpha days, which literally cost several of my clan mates a GPU? Something is DEFINITELY wrong here, hoping for a hot fix soon!! Thanks

7 days since patch release,  7 days of lag. Is this going to be fixed anytime soon?

It has really been bad this go around. Mine starts at about 36-43 then spikes to 500 back down then 999 and stays there for awhile.....mean time I have been killed or in one game I drowned as I was on the lake road when it hit me and couldn't make turn...

Sure is a problem somewhere

Shout out for myself and others that are also experiencing FPS lag and stutters that did not exist before the Christmas mini patch for 9.17.0.1. Lots of other posts talking about this, but haven't seen it addressed here by mods. May or may not be related to the server lag, but it's very hard to play when every match fps cuts in half and has mini freezes/stutters when the action heats up which were non-existant before this patch.
