I think that's nonsense.... on the rare times people would talk about where someone was.... it was all head games, which made it even more fun!!!

Are they telling the truth, or are they lying?!??! That was awesome.

Now the worthless bots and AFK'ers.... they deserve to be ratted out or TK'ed.

Um, it's a metaphor.

Then it's a metaphor used in the wrong situation.

I think I only made it a week or two after the change, I got tired of playing with voiceless bots. No Cross chat = offline/coop play. I came here for MMO, not co-op pve.

i dont think i have ever met someone who felt that it was the chat that made a game pvp. first time for everything.

Well the game definitely isn't any good, so I doubt too many but the few like your self with 40k + games are here for the game itself.

because children playing this game dont get a participation trophy when they lose. so spamming ha ha you lost makes the little babies upset.

but all in all i think the team chat is far far far far far far far more toxic than enemy banter ever was.

as an outlet only being able to use team chat i think even the anger felt from an enemy action is now displaced onto the friendly team to relieve frustration.

Go bark up another tree, sport.  I would NEVER give away my teammate's positions.  You missed the point of my post just like 90% of the rest of these guys.  It was meant in the spirit of humor, nothing else.

Some players obviously still hope the opposition can read team messages or they have not yet got the word that "cross CHAT" is no more. I have witnessed several incidents where butt-hurt players mark/reveal a teammate's position with followup comments that clearly indicate what they are attempting to do.

Seriously the dumbest fix WG did for something that wasn't broken.  Entertainment value of the game went 50 dkp minus.

It'd be nice if they brought it back but it really isn't that important. If you have to be a salty crybaby there is always personal messages after the battle, probably for the best since you don't distract yourself and your team in-game.

Why should you be able to communicate with the enemy?

1) To talk trash.

2) To give away your own teams positions.

Neither one of these serves ANY positive purpose whatsoever, and in fact, only serve to damage the game environment.

If you need to chit chat, do it after battle. You shouldn't be occupying chat space with that nonsense anyway. Use chat for what it was intended-relaying useful tactical information. If you REEEEALLY need to tell your bro on the other team just how friggin' drunk you are, text him-that option is always available.

Trash talking is relevant and important to any form of competition.

Like most things in life, WG took the easy way out :(

Just being able to hide all chat would have allowed those who wish to converse with the other team to do so while allowing you hide it and "stay safe".

So you can't give away allied positions when you feel disgruntled about them not performing like you want.

Hit em up after battle.
