Well, close...

The Rudy, its crew (and the dog!)  were featured in a Polish TV show.

4 Tankers and a Dog.

Hmm, that name sounds familiar ...

My question is why buy a Fury in the first place.

At the time it was the only true American MT premium which you could use to learn Mid tier MT play and earn extra XP and credits. The free camo was nice too.

The Ram II is great, but has a different crew and is T5.  It is also Canadian. The SP is not a true MT either.

actually it has 2 degrees less gun depression and 3hp/t less power to weight ratio and a weaker mantlet.

and yeah I see the stuff on it. what I DON'T see is the two freaking ford f-150's it would need to also have strapped on it that would make it weigh that much. there is no way in hell a few logs and ammo boxes weight 4 METRIC TONS.

Someone who doesn't know how much lumber actually weighs.

someone who hasn't spent a summer cutting hiking trails in a national park. they don't weigh more than two grown men can move. even your silly little calculator would show only about 1000 lbs as a generous estimate for all 3 combined. you do realize these things are for unditching the tank, right? in other words they have to be MAN PORTABLE.

you apparently aren't so great at the maths either.

http://tanks.gg/wot/compare#t:fury.c:m4a3e8

difference between the tanks = 4268 kg

4268kg = 9409.32935lbs

let's continue shall we?

http://www.ford.com/trucks/f150/specifications/

min curb weight of a 2016 F150 4x4 = 4,305 lbs.

9409/4305 = 2.18 F150's

getting the picture? now, just for funsies

9409.32/3 = 3136.44lbs

so, according to you. the crew of this tank managed to manually hoist and strap 3 logs, each weighing 1.5 [edited]imperial TONS (and presumably made of depleted uranium) onto the side of the tank, for the purpose of casually removing them and throwing them under the tracks to provide traction over mushy ground, potentially during bad weather or even while under enemy fire?

and now they have 4 metric tons, a little less than 1/7th the presumed weight of the entire tank, just casually hanging over one side of the tank? GTFOH!

Mantlet armor is one of the most important things of a tank, i never get people who dont care to have any.

Not getting hit is better armor than a mantlet. The E8 mantlet is fine, and even the weaker Fury mantlet will serve the purpose of bouncing a few shots here or there. Still, not getting hit is better.

here is an Awesome Video from QB. and he points out the Tank is not the same as the one in the tree even know there the same tank!   the tank needs to have matching Stats if its that same tank, but to war gaming credit they have put in the work and made separate  modules! so either way I'm ok with it  because its unique

Fury is likely only worse because it's more like the real E8 whereas the E8 on the tree, like most of the tanks on the tech trees is a borderline fabrication that looks like an E8.

Tech tree tanks are balanced around gameplay whereas the premiums, I think, are meant to more resemble the real life tanks as much as possible.

There's not 3, there's 6, spread between both sides of the tank. Before you start slinging insults, maybe you can actually do some research before making yourself look like a complete joke. That's not even including the additional kit Fury had over a stock E8.

you slung insults first. Ok there's 6. And a couple of ammo boxes and machine guns. So like 3k lbs at the grossest overestimate. Whoopty doo, where is the other 6500 lbs aka 1.5 ford f-150s? Did shia labeouf plagiarize them from another tank?

The E8 only has a better turret because it's still the og potato model. As soon as they hd it up it'll be the same turret face as the fury. The jumbo already lost its top turret armor. The E8's turret isn't really that good anyway. 160ish through the mantlet only really stops same tier medium guns at best and the rest of the turret face is easily penetrated by everything.

I love both tanks and will sometimes just switch back and forth between them. I bought the fury originally towards the end of my American medium tank grind so I haven't played it as much as I really should, but it's one of the last vehicles I'd get rid of.

That's what I'm saying, the new model will have the same weakness. I stil think fury needs a buff, everyone's so excited by the rareness but Tue fact is, it's been out of the game for so long that it's powercreeped now. It just doesn't make sense. The Rudy is just as good as the t-34-85. The crombie is just as good as the crom. Same with is2/b. But the fury is significantly worse? Makes no sense.

So I heard people talking about the fury being sluggish compared to the e8, I noticed it does have 20 less hp, but it also weighs 8000kg more! wthcould could cause essentially the same tank to weigh that much more, and what are we getting for it in return?

Seriously...go back to school and learn something.  8000kg is a hell of a lot more than four tons...

Pretty sure it's only 4000kg heavier. 1000kg is a metric ton.

yeah you're right, it's 4000kg, so 4 metric tons. idk why I typed 8000. was probably thinking 2000lbs = imperial ton and got myself confused.
